*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

Okay - first thoughts are... how awesome is this screen?! Seriously, it's so clear, I can't believe it!

I checked the screen - it appears to be perfect - no yellow blobs etc.
However, apps that haven't be updated - look **** - you can definitely tell the difference. I really really hope the developers see this, and start updating their apps with updated graphics, because you can really tell the difference on this bad boy!

Secondly, the attenna bug - yep, it looks like it's definitely here.
It doesn't effect my Wi-Fi what so ever.
When I hold the phone normally, it's fine - however, as soon as I put my finger across the gap between the two attenna, the reception slowly dies and eventually, in many cases, I end up with "No Service".

Not too much of a big deal (Unless I suddenly change the way I hold a phone) - I know it should be perfect for such a lot of money - I guess we'll just have to see what Apple says...

Has anyone else ordered on Vodafone and seen a dispatch e-mail yet? I've had confirmation e-mails but I'm starting to think I've missed this batch of stock, and god only knows when they'll get some more.

Fingers, toes, arms and legs crossed my doubts are proven wrong.

I'm pretty impressed with the camera. Took these in my garden a short while ago.

Colours are a bit oversaturated but still impressive for a phone.

Not sure how big the sensor is but there's some nice brokeh going on here.

Sky is blown out due to low dynamic range nature of the sensor. Not bad though.

Welcome to the world of high resolution screens. :D

Don't know how you iPhone users put up with the poor res for so long!

As for the signal issue I can't see Apple being able to solve it if it is actually a shorting issue without either complely redesigning the phone or at best sticking a plastic film over the metal on at least one side. Obviously the plastic would probably last about a week before that wore of/scratched though...

Argh I just cut my sim and its not working...

I did a test on an Orange PAYG SIM and it worked fine. I then did my Vodafone contract SIM and the phone just says No SIM :(

I then drove into town, went to the Voda shop, which was funnily enough empty, and they swapped me onto a MicroSIM and it works a treat :)

Anyone heard anything about it from tmobile?

Apparently I will be able to request the Iphone for my upgrade for the valuble customer I am "Ispend a lot of money on my contract"

Also what you think about the 3g coverage etc if i did take the upgrade instead of getting it on O2?

The data plans look fail -_-

Surely this is the correct way?

Mine didn't work the first time either, it turns out I didn't cut the simcard in the correct place and the contacts didn't line up. From that image, it looks like you've done the same.

(can't take a photo of mine since it's well, in my only camera)

It looks a bit drastic cutting through what appears to be part of the sim, but I figured my sim was useless anyway and tried it. It worked.

Your sim ends up as a micro-micro sim, but so far despite being slightly loose in the holder its working perfectly.

Loving this, what a step up from the 3G!!

So far I don't seem to have any of the issues mentioned, or certainly not that I have noticed from a fair bit of playing around, including a 20min phonecall, during which I took the phone to and from my ear several times to check the sensor was working, which it was.

I bought a bumper at the store today, although not so sure I will stick with it (have removed it for now) as it makes getting it out of your pocket a little tricky, although adds very little bulk to the phone and is really well finished.

Stand out for me is the quality of the screen and the sheer speed of the device. It is light years faster than my 3G. Awesome so far :)

So you do cut some of the sim? :S

The camera is incredible for a phone! The HD video is very impressive!

I took a 1.23min video and it took up 103MB of space :p

Is there a setting for the accelerometer lock, or does it only show up with certain apps etc?

Just saw the icon on some screenshots, but yet to see it on my phone.
