*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

Might just wait and see if a fix comes out...

I don't think it will ever get fixed. As reception problems are not that uncommon. This has been highlight more due to the high profile nature of the device. My old Nokia E71 also has the antenna at the bottom and was possible to make it drop signal but this never got much publicity.

The Google Nexus one also had a problem and Google has refused to do anything

Vodafone has taken money out of my account so all im waiting for is a email to say its on its way

Think it could be upto a 2 week wait :(

No way, Vodaphone are eager with getting their money aren't they. I've had my iPhone 4 from Apple for a day now and i'm still waiting for them to debit my account :p

That seems to be isolated to T-Mobile stateside if I'm not mistaken?

I can't find any other sources showing the N1 issue over here on our networks for example and certainly nobody I've seen yet on these forums complain and quite a few have the N1.

Did anyone else do early upgrade with o2?

I had 6 months remaining but did the early upgrade and took out a new 18 month contract.

If I log on to my o2 it shows my renewal date as 23rd June 2012 - surely that would only be correct on a 24 month contract?

My tariff says 18 month so I'm a bit confused. Has anyone else got similar?

Out of curiosity - people with reception issues, which carrier are you using? Wonder if some signals are stronger than others.

It appears to happen on Orange and O2 at least from my tests, who use different GSM frequencies. It's not a network problem it's a handset issue.

I did the same, just checked and mine says that the tariff is 18 months and ends on 23.12.2011

With this O2 early upgrade, whilst i dont know anything about it it sounds the same as what vodafone will be doing in July. They let you upgrade 6 months early but only on the understanding that the new contract your taking out begins when your old one ends. So if your upgrading 6 months early on an 18 month contract it will show up as being 24 months (ie. 6 more months of your old contract duration followed by the new 18 month contract).

dunno who asked about the Zagg cover. ??

But I just put mine on and the front cover, top where the ear piece goes. The slit is extra long to allow for the front camera, clever thinking :)
