*** Steam Summer Sale - Selection of games upto 85% off ***

Ermmm. I just went to pay for 3 games. Steam crashed. They are still in my basket but also in my games list and it is letting me download them and I have not paid. Just checked with my card provider.:cool:

Liking the Witcher here, didn't think I would so a 'yes' vote from me.

I bought it too after hearing good things. Looks good, going to start playing properly later this afternoon. Can't really go wrong at that price.

Hoping todays deals are good. Looking for something new, but no idea what! Hoping Assassins Creed 2 is reduced further.

Ahh Assassin's Creed 2. I didn't quite dig the first game enough. Is the second likely to appeal? Hard question to answer I appreciate but just wondered. :)

Aye, will probably be playing the Witcher at some point late tonight, if I can stay awake. :D

How big is your steam folder now :p

Mine is already 90gb after 30 quid worth of purchase yesterday,

Mine was at 302 GB before this sale started - thanks mainly to the XMas sale. I'm trying to restrain myself this time :) It's now holding at 325GB... holding... holding...

:D

Doom 3 was ok so long as you ignored everything you already knew and loved about Doom. Obviously looking forward to the other games (I haven't played Hexen in over 15 years) but I want to give D3 another go............smart arse :p

I love Doom 3 - it might be my favourite game.

Anyone who registers The Witcher on the official site can download the game music and an 'inspired by' album, which are just excellent.

Ok, thanks. :) Will do that later.

When I started playing a small notice pops up in the right hand corner of the screen, which mentions that when the game asks me for a Steam key I should enter it. Thing is I haven't been prompted for a key and the game runs fine.

I noticed a little inconsistent fps if I set AA to the hilt but hey, that's nothing new. Dropped it down to x2 and I can't really see any jaggies at all. X4 was still very good performance but during the occasional moment the fps took a bit of a nose dive. Somewhere between 15 - 20 fps. I'll have to look at Huddy's overclocking guide today or tomorrow, see if that helps.

You might wanna email steam support, just so they know it wasn't intentional. That sort of thing could get accounts blocked.
