Just emailed the guys at Orange regarding my poor signal (not the left hander thing) at my home address. Considering the coverage checker is saying I should have 'Excellent' coverage, I think it's a tad unreasonable that I'm getting calls pushed to voicemail and constant 'no coverage' messages.
We shall see what they have to say - hopefully it's just a faulty mast!
Regarding your "Pushed to Voicemail" and "no coverage".
I'd be interested in what they say to you because I had exactly the same throughout March this year.
Was impossible to make a call for almost an entire month where I work, people would call me and it would go straight to Voicemail BUT I'd get a text instantly saying I'd missed a call.
I could send texts, surf the web, but no matter what, any voice calls I made would give the "No Coverage" message.
After, eventually, getting through to Orange, I was told the following:
There are numerous 3G masts around London, nearly all of them were down in North London (where I work) and so all calls were going to one mast and as such was just sheer luck as to whether I got a signal.
They guided me from switching from 3G to GPRS and yes, I was able to make calls as soon as I'd done that.
After spending an entire month going back to 3G, trying to call, having no luck, I managed to make calls on the 3G network about end of March, beginning of April.
Got sweet FA in terms of compensation from Orange as they said my service wasn't affected as I could still make calls.
Little thread hijack, but like I said, would be interested in what they say to you and if you get the same as me.
