If you where a millionaire , where would you live?

I'd have a range of homes around the world and move around them probably, mainly i'd try and stay in Boston or Bali though.

I'd probably stay as close to where i am now as possible but buy a detatched 4 bed house to live in...or buy some land an build one to my own personal spec. Then fill it with many wonderful things.

There must be something about Stroud, I'd probably stay put as well.

But with the change I might get a small cottage somewhere to go a hide for the odd weekend.

Cottage in north devon or something, or south wales, theres some nice places around porthcawl in wales!

I think Strouds got a good 50/50 thing going, it feels a bit village like but at the same time has some of the elements of a city, it's just a pitty that the chav population has grown a fair bit in recent years :(

In a bay somewhere warm, with pearl white beaches, and turquoise water. The backdrop of a nice mountain forest.

Something like that. :)

I've always fantasised about having a nice sized villa with an infinity pool on the cliff top and a small private white sandy cove at the base of the cliffs. A nice glass lift or stairs leading down to it and a little jetty for a motorboat and yacht/dingy.

Probably on a small island in/near Greece. That along with a nice chalet in the French/Swiss Alps and I guess a nice house in the UK somewhere.

If I only had 1 million pounds of cash lying around I'd probably buy a £700k house max somewhere within 30 mins of wherever my job/uni/whatever was...
However, if we can assume a bit more, say 2 million, I'd have that plus a nice home in some Rural very isolated bit of Scotland (Although I'm not always sure about such second homes in terms of emptying local villages when nobody's on holiday, so I'd hopefully move somewhere where there aren't any local businesses to disrupt anyway).

If I had about 75 million, I'd have a nice place in Kensington or somewhere similar in London, plus a 5million place wherever I usually live, plus a big castle/ custom built underground seaside fortress in Scotland.

If it was just one place to live in full time assuming I could get a job there, I'd like to live on the outskirts of some Scottish town - far enough away to avoid the drunks though!
I think I'd like that mainly because I like the more 'wild' places, but the lake district etc is so overcrowded and busy, yet there are parts of Scotland which have a more impressive landscape, but also avoid the crowds. I might consider Australia/ America, but I doubt I'd like the prevailing cultures, especially in America. Also, Australia is too hot and big-spidery :p.

Los Alcazares, Murcia, Spain. :)

In intend to live there anyway, millionaire or not.

Really?

right under the airport and surrounded by snotty retirement brits swearing about immigrants in Britain and how nasty the Spanish are?:(

(We fly there then head to a slightly less britishafied part of the coast further south and it's still full of those above. The people that start up and only go to british pubs and have sunday roast down by the waterfront instead of actually interact and live remotely spanishy...)

Spring - Akhibara Japan, Summer - New Zealand, Autumn - Vermont, Winter - Finland.

Assuming I had millions i'd buy houses in every one of these places.

Sounds very similar to what I had pictured in my head. :) Med or Carribean is perfect for me, but that's just based on experience, I'm sure there are other wonderful places. However, there must be pearl white sandy beaches, mountain, forest all rolled into one! :D

Delray Beach, Florida. Having family there I've spent a fair few of my childhood summers there. Not only is it a stunningly beautiful little town perched on a stretch of Florida's Atlantic Gold Coast, but one of the most laid back places I've ever been. I could quite happily spend the rest of my days lounging by the pool, surfing at the beach and then taking in the downtown nightlife.

This 100%.

Yeh this, some backwater in north America or Canada. As close to civilisation as its needed via the bad ass custom ve-ic-hal I would purchase, but far enough away to not be bothered by the general nonsense of modern living.

The only real issue for me would be internet, but then I should be able to afford some kind of satellite ras-matas.

It would depend entirely on whether I was a Millionaire or a Multi-Millionare.

Millionare: I would simply stay where I am.

MultiMillionaire: Lake Como.

I would probably have 3 properties.. One in the souther region of the UK (Probably London), one in York and another somewhere in South East Asia for holidays :)

As others have said depends how many million.

If just the 1 million, either roughly where I am now or in Plymouth. 200kish house. Then buy another ~5 houses to rent out and live on the proceeds.

If multi millionaire I would own loads of places all around the world and just go where ever takes my fancy.
