I thought that the answer would have been "yes" from most people but I'm obviously wrong.

Had we been in Europe and no the UK, I'd have probably agreed with you - but the results are as I was expecting.

I wonder why the UK isn't so tactile with loved ones or friends? Or do you think it's regional?

Having moved out at 18 and dont see my parents very much, always give my mum and dad a kiss when i / they are leaving, never know whats gonna happen :)

Also generally give the gfs mum a kiss goodbye as well :)

There is nothing wrong with kissing your mum on the cheek and those that thing it's wrong should get your heads looked at. She gave birth to you , cared for you , she is a woman and sometimes just a kiss goes to show you still care about her.

Now your dad it's a different story , he's a bloke a pat on the back or a shake of the hand. However if you are a female giving your dad a kiss or your mum a hug is ok too!

I also don't see how you can be a mummies boy for just giving your mum a kiss on the cheek , ffs it's not as if you are using tounges!

I feel guilty that I don't kiss my mum on the cheek but she spoilt it all those years when she used to be a fag head and I couldn't go near her.
I always kissed my Mother In Law and no she wasn't hot but an amazing woman.
Both my daughters (23 & 21) still give me a cuddle & kiss.

I wouldnt say i kiss her all of the time but i do kiss her quite often followed by telling her i love her. This is and always has been normal for me and shows her how much she means to me (my mums like my best mate). I kiss my girlfriends mum and grandma when i see them and when i leave aswell. My dad hardly shows his affections but i sometimes give him a hug.

I still live at home and i'm 22.

Kissing your dad just seems totally wtf to me.

Think I kissed my mum once, when she moved away to another country:p

Ive never kissed my mum, she even looks at me ill give her a chop with a 2x4 plank of wood.....kidding mummy love you. No dont kiss her, cause im 24.
Dad, its only a handshake, or when hes drunk i get a hug.

Just me that finds the results strange?

People who live away from their parents are 2.5 times more likely to kiss their Mothers.

Anyway for the record, kissing your Mother is alright, kissing your Father is all manners of wrong.
