I've just spoken to Orange.

The stock of 32's they got in this morning has all gone to backorders.

The stock for upgrades is entirely different so that may explain why the fellow who ordered today is getting his faster.

They are still assuring you will get it 7-10 days from the date you ordered, probably a bit sooner.

Waiting is so much fun :eek: :p :(

I havent received any email or txt and my online order status still says 'being readied for dispatch'.

Its just what the CS rep told me when i phoned him, so i wouldnt loose hope it not getting it.

Hopefully all us that ordered via the web will get an email later tonight or tomorrow morning.

Did you get a phone allocated to you or have you still got to wait?
 
Yeah I can imagine they'd have some to the side for upgrades, makes sense to keep your existing customers.

Oh well, looks like me and my trusty Nokia 2-something series with integrated torch and FM radio are going to be together for a few more days yet :P lol.

Hope you guys enjoy your phones :D
 
My better half got hers from a Vodafone shop at lunchtime today - havent had a chance to play with it but it feels a lot more "industrial" than my 3G...not sure my first impressions of it are superb but hopefully will change when it is booted up and can try some of the new features and the improved screen
 
I've just received my dispatch e-mail from Vodafone. My shiney new 32Gb should arrive tomorrow, although I can't get home to pick it up until Friday, still at least it's finally on the way.
 
Ok i dont know what the CS rep was looking at earlier but he was lying about my order being allocated a phone for delivery tomorrow. Its not :(

Ive just spoken to a Orange CS Manager. He stated that no new stock had come in today for new customers/back orders. Only a small number had arrived for upgrades.

He said that stock was due in this week to be allocated to back orders.
This is more than likely the truth as the people who have received dispatch texts today are those who are upgrading.

New customers and those on back order will have to wait for the new stock to arrive and get allocated out to us.

Will keep you posted if i hear anything more or finally get my dispatch note.

Anyone ordered/hoping to order from Tesco and know about their stock levels? Sorry if this has been discussed in previous pages, just been away for a few days and can't be bothered to read through x number of pages...

haven't been able to find anywhere else selling the official ones other than apple, but there seem to be plenty of alternatives on the auction sites, and much better priced obviously, typically a search for 'gel case' will show up plenty of alternatives
