*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

Can't find if anyone replied to this, but has anyone worked out a way to do a shortcut to a Gmail folder in 2.2 as you do in 2.1?

So I tried open desire but missed statusbar percentage and whenever you get a message or email the led is always on oscillatimy pink and blue!

Also I missed multitouch in the browser so have restored back to sparta.

Both sparta and froyo run as fast as each other I found but launcher pro is way faster than android stock launcher (and sense).

hey folks, did any of you have problems with getting on the internet after rooting your phones?

i cant connect: apn mobile.o2.co.uk - iphone simplicty tarrif.

EDIT: this was an o2 fault. 2 hours wasted! :)

* Android 3.0 Gingerbread will be released in mid- October (around 15 -16th), 2010. First handsets shipping in November/December – for the Holiday Season.

* Minimum hardware requirements for Android 3.0 devices are: 1GHZ CPU, 512MB or RAM, displays from 3.5" and higher. We all of course heard that Android handsets with 2GHz CPU's are coming.

* New 1280×760 resolution available for the devices with displays of 4" and higher

* Completely revamped user interface. If you want to get a feeling of what Android 3.0 Gingerbread UX is like, check out the Gallery App on Nexus One. The same overall feel, light animated transitions, etc. Natively, through all the UI.

* Android's split into 2 branches becomes official. 3.0 for top of the line/high end devices. Cheap, low-end mass market handsets will keep Android 2.1/2.2

Hi Folks.

I rooted my phone last night - how do I take advantage of moving apps to SD? it seems to be greyed out.

I'm moving back to Sparta today. OD sucked. Did any of you try browsing? The screen wouldn't even rotate!

Plus, if thats not ported from a Nexus, then I'm Osama!

found either a froyo or opendesire 1.3b market bug.

i have about 90 apps installed at the moment, i set them all to auto update, then when i try to download anything it doesnt install, downloads and just sits there doing nothing.

clearing market cache does nothing, clearing market data (so all apps go back to manual update) and they download and install fine.

i miss the circle % battery indicator from sparta, i also prefer the black task bar...

i cant say 2.2 seems any faster than sparta?

Really? My PC says "Loading drivers for Google Nexus One" when I connect it, and my screen never rotated when browsing. :(

I'd say that's something wrong at your end rather than with the rom.

Also, what's this multitouch issue? Am I missing something because pinch to zoom works perfectly in the browser too?

I'm the same as others, moving back from OD1.3 to Sparta. It didn't seem to be any faster to me, crashed whilst running applications I used a lot and I also missed the little battery indicator icon in the status bar.
