Motoring pet hates

Happens loads around here, usually they do 40mph on NSL roads and dont slow down for villages. I doubt you have any villages in Grays, so thats why it doesnt happen :p

lol I am surrounded by small towns and some villages.
I will be paying more attention to this now, just to see if it is actually common.

My mine gripe is people who don't keep a constant speed on the motorway, I like to sit at 70, but the person in front will do 60 then to 75! That is annoying

People in non premium vehicles getting in everyones way. You have a Focus 1.6, please, get out of the outside lane and stop holding me up.

lol, reminds me of last week.

I was in a 1.6 TDCi Focus and caught up to a BMW doing 60 in the right hand lane. Flashed him for a good 15 seconds and the **** wouldn't move into the empty middle lane. I then went into the middle lane to undertake, and then the ******** went into the middle AS WELL, in front of me!! .

Here's a pointless pic of him...

happens all the time. On busy A/B roads. The lanes into and around grays are hardly busy so you probably never bump into these people.

I absolutley hate it when people park but don't straighten the wheel.

I understand if you've parked on a steep hill and turn towards to curb but when you are on a flat surface in a parking bay, I just find it idiotic.

What's your pet peeves?

Pretty much my only pet hate too.

I don't understand this one about un-straightened wheels when parked.

Why is it such an issue for people?

I'm not saying I do it and I'm not trying to excuse those that do but I have genuinely never noticed it, certainly not enough to make it a major bugbear. So what's the deal?

The car looks like it was abandoned. I did it a few times when I first got my Focus (I.e. just stopped when straight) and soon hated it when going past my car.

This doesn't annoy me, but it does seem incredibly stupid.

I saw this women a couple of weeks back, it was a hot sunny day, and she had no rear windscreen wiper, but it was on and it had obviously been on for quite a while because it had scored the rear windscreen quite badly.

Surely she must have heard the metal on glass sound?

People who know they are holding you up on twisty country lanes but do not slow down so that you can safely pass them.

Something that really annoys me that got in my way today: Was pulling out of our office car park and a taxi had broken down directly opposite the junction exit where I was coming from. Parked close by him were two police cars and an ambulance. The police cars were partly parked on the pavement, and one in the middle of the lane faceing me. The ambulance was parked half on the pavement & half on the road but was far enough into the road to prevent access because there are some bollards in the way. How can people park like this and watch a queue of cars stack up and not do anything about it? Was during lunch time as well so why they didn't move, I have no idea. Had a quick look at taxi on the way back and all I could see them doing was change one of the tyres :S What the hell?
