Metro 2033 - Excellent

I'm on my second run now, love this game one of my fave.
But admittidly it could have been so much better! They should have let you explore some of the stations like Polis,
And they should have had a better buy/sell system, with a combination of some RPG elements imo.
I'd love to see a fallout type game done in this style and location tbh..
And i'm not even gonna mention the ending
Nope, had it running in 3150x1680 and 5040x1050, tried setting the resolutions manually etc in the config files?
The only problem I've seen is the mouse speed scales with resolution so with 5040x1050, the horizontal speed is ridiculous.

I was on the edge of ordering the THQ pack on steam at £25, but either had or wasn't sure I'd enjoy the others included, I wanted metro 2033 when it launched but steam dropped the ball again not allowing uk steamers to buy it, it really ticks me off when steam have games on the coming soon list & then it's unavilable to us driving their customers elsewhere

Do you have an earlier save you can use. Thought that was what I did, was in a similar situation and it sorted it fine. Good luck!

This is a weakness in the STALKER series as well. Getting plugged from 1/2 a mile away in pitch darkness as you do your best to be quiet = whatver. And the AI...ALL of them seem to be crack shots from the SAS. An irritating feature of a brilliant series.

Metro is quite hard lol...I'm playing it on Easy i'm ashamed to say.
Restart the level I guess. I never once had a problem with filters my whole playthrough.

Just tweak with the settings mate (Use DX9 for a start)

So i managed to solve my crashing issues (upped cpu voltage, updated to 10.6 cats, reinstalled (turns out an older version) of physx and ive just been playing for around an hour and it didnt crash so fingers crossed it stays like that.
Really getting into it but sometimes i find my self vs 3 or 4 of those 'beast' things and other times short on ammo. Is that normal?
Edit: Im using a 4870 1GB rest of spec in sig playing 1920 x 1200 and the game seems to run ok.

This is still £10.85 on Shopto.net so i just ordered a copy
Won £6 on the football thing they were doing so got this under a fiver. Included a copy of Red Faction Guerrilla too which was a nice bonus.

I had a problem similar to this, got auto saved with a gasmask that was 1 hit away from being broken and had to fight 5-6 of the giant rats.
Took me a few tries before i realized i could just take the mask off, kill them and then put it back on.

I got it for £15 on Amazon in a summer deal with RF:G also, I love the game so far (Only have 1.9 hours).
Not really sure what I think of this game.
Was really enjoying it up until the latest checkpoint- loads of enemies who have insane health. I mean 4 shotgun blasts from point blank not killing an enemy soldier is quite ridiculous. It's so dark I can't see crap to take them out from longer range.
