Well that was a pleasant change from wiping on LK HC for 3 nights straightKilled Halion 25m last night, its not a bad fight, but not seriously challenging, its certainly no Sunwell in terms of keeping people in the game occupied until Cataclysm (nor nowhere near the difficulty level either)
On normal mode it is not intended to be hard. I play in a semi casual / serious guild and we got Helion within 5 attempts on 25 man.
We spent more time messing about on trash.
Need Help choosing an .eu Realm plz
Hey guys,
Long story but basically about 2 years ago i thought hey lets try world of warcraft. Unfornatunately i didn't do my research and ended up downloading the .us trial of the game. By the time i got to level 40 i had realised my mistake and thought **** it and bought the full game and got to 70 and then eventually to 80 with the WOTLK expanse.
Currently my main is a Paladin tank called Valoel, armory:

I am on the Azgalor realm in the US and i am currently 11/12 HM ICC25. Had a bit of a break from raiding due to being hacked and also some of our raid members have suffered from burn out etc so i don't think we will be getting 12/12 for a few weeks.
We have fulled cleared ulduar and TOC hm and got yogg0 and algalon server firsts.
I would like to say i am a good tank, research fights, multiple gear sets depending on bosses and good awareness.
Anyway enough about my character. I feel that with cata coming out it would be a good chance to reroll on an .eu server and actually get regular decent nights sleep. I was hoping you guys could recommend me a nice server thats on GMT or GMT+1 time. Ideally a pvp server with fairly decent to decent progression.
I was planning on starting the levelling process soon and then hopefully app to a few guilds on the server. I guess i app right now and use my current .us character as a reference but i have no idea which guild or realms to app to. Might be an idea to check out wow progress or something but from reading this thread it seems that some of you are equally progressed or further than me so was looking for some early friends.
Also i would love to be recruited as a friend to get the double xp to make the levelling process less painful.
Oh yea i plan on re-rolling a paladin tank in eu.

hehe quite ammusing new raid comes out all of a sudden we have every guild member and their dog signed for this weekend 
I really hope I get a spot otherwise I think I will be kicking up a bit of a fuss tbh. I have been raiding (wiping on the LK HM) for the last god knows how many months so I bloody well best be put in the team. Plus I think its about time we had some guild drama havnt had any for ages

This happened us last night too lol, our raid leader took the usual team, put the rest in the queue and that was it
Gotta love Wednesday loggers and their DKP shenanigans!
You've raided on US time for the past two years?! Madness! What time do you get to bed?
The warriors's stance (no pun intended) on this is that the legendary is his, and he basically doesn't care now that he is in another guild and doesn't have to bother them with gearing.
I suppose i could still try my luck petitioning a gm and see what they say, i doubt there is any harm in trying.

I have a lot less dramatic story to relate, but almost as annoying.
Back in Vanilla days our guild had MC on farm and were trying to progress in in BWL.
We had a pair of players who would use the guild to get 8/8 T1, and then simply shelve their characters for new ones. They would appear in the next guild raid with a fresh 60 in greens and blues, whom the guild would then carry to gear up again.
When those chars would get 8/8 T1, they simply moved on to the next. It was incredibly annoying from a guild progress perspective.
What made matters worse was we had a (stupid) rule where they could transfer their DKP from one char to the next. Because they were such regular raiders, they could outbid people who were trying to gear their mains, on items for their alts...which would then be shelved. They wouldnt even feel bad about it.
Unfortunately I wasnt an officer at the time so I couldnt really do anything about it.
Anyway their attitude towards loot and the guild as a whole was really poor.

Unfortunately some people just have a really poor attitude to the whole social, teamwork aspect of MMOs. The idea about being able to transfer DKP isn't actually a bad idea, as long as it's regulated with common sense rules like mains first; because it means stuff can go to alts, or players who've been asked to bring another character to runs for raid balance as an example.
People like those you mentioned probably shouldn't be in a guild, because it sounds like they didnt have any respect for the effort of anyone else.

I preferred the US realms to the EU ones. Everyone just seemed kinder..I wish I was on US realms, for some reason I just can't imagine that they have as many utter noobs
