Well from what i've read of The Witcher Steam forums it was around £4.80 so it was certainly a top seller. It then went up to it's current price of £8.70 a few days into the sale. A day later the Atari advert was changed from "All games 66% off" to "upto 66% off all games" with the Witcher the only game that wasn't at 66% off. Which is arguably the best games in the Atari section.
Due to the way the Steam sale works i was waiting until today to buy The Witcher, but with the increase in price i'll wait. Bought too much other stuff.![]()
Is L4D2 worth the price? I've not played any of the L4D games, and L4D2 seems the best place to start considering, well, it's the sequel so I'm guessing it has a bigger playerbase than the original.
Also considering ARMA 2, but will it run well on my system? My spec:
Dual Core E2180 @ 3GHz
2GB DDR2 PC6400 memory (usually about 1.7GB free when comp is idle at desktop)
GTX260 216-core, 896MB
Windows XP 32-bit
Run most, if not all games at 1680 x 1050 with at least 2xAA
Ok, if i was to buy only one, which one should I get
Bioshock 2
L4D2
Monkey Island
Civ 4
?
I wasn't fond of Killing Floor, but L4D2 is well worth the money. I pre ordered it on Steam and haven't played that much of it but still don't regret it. For £6 it's a steal frankly.
Even at £8.70 it's a steal and well worth the money![]()
Umming and aaring regards the COD pack - already have COD4 on Steam and the older ones on CD somewhere...
Have bought ME2, Tales of Monkey Island and THQ pack though
ps3ud0![]()
True, but i've bought so much other stuff that i can wait for it to be even cheaper again in future as i doubt i'll get around to playing it anytime soon.![]()
What happens when you buy one of those big game packs and you already own a few, can you gift the spares ?
PD: i have bought the Moxxi DLC, now i have the "complete" game
Was hovering over the buy button for L4D2, then read this....lol
Im saving my pennies!

Also wondering this. I purchased Titan Quest and own a few others in the THQ pack. Surely if you already purchased these from Steam then you should get gifts for them?![]()
Is thief any good?. Played and liked the old ones: )
