*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

I'm having problems during calls with mine, think it's to do with the proximity sensor and the case that my phone is in.

During calls, the screen goes black (as it should) but I can't seem to get the screen to recover until the person on the other end hangs up.

Had a quick Google and plenty of people seem to have experienced this on the 3GS, sounds as though it's when the proximity sensor is covered by either a scratch resistant type screen or case. Any fix? Can I disable the proximity sensor?

Ok dokie

Is there anyneed to be bent over by apple for $29 when i can buy a cheaper version somewhere else ?

I'm very tempted to get this Belkin Grip Edge Case instead of a bumper. As good looking as the bumper is I personally would want some back protection.

wtf I've had it less than 24 hours and it's already saying 'Cellular network data sent 211MB received 505MB'

I don't understand, how the hell does it think I've already downloaded 500MB (my monthly limit). I bought Settlers 2 the game but that was over Wi-Fi.

Really worried now and what is 'Tether data that's at 0'

Doesnt it include what you have downloaded via WIFI?

What on earth are you guys downloading?

I have never reset my usage stats, and since having the 3G (from July 2008) I have received 2.8gb and sent 147mb.

EDIT - oh and for those wondering about insurance, check with your house insurance provider. Mine covers any item up to £1,500, and even up to £3,000 if I specify it. I rang them the other day and this includes mobile phones etc in and out of the house. Sorted :)

push is always off for me. tho at work i get crappy wifi signals which means if it losses conn it switches to 3g. while watching almost all the afternoon worldcup matches on my iphone ive hit 3gb i hope i wont get billed for it:/

you dont need to own a house for house insurance, surely you have contents insurance, I think it was about £7 extra year on mine for mobile phone cover

I live at my parents so no i dont have my own contents insurance

Anyone still waiting for their 32GB iPhone from Orange?

I've had one on order since last Thursday (24th) and still haven't heard anything from them. They keep saying I should get one of the first deliveries but everytime I call, they don't know when that will be.

Anyone with an order from then had it dispatched?

Yes, it should be despatched tomorrow as they have them in stock.

You can order one on the site for delivery on Tuesday (you have been able to for the past 3 days).

I'm expecting (and you should too), to get it on Tuesday.

Jesus
insurance on a bloody phone a month is just crazy so i was wondering what everyone else does ???

My 3G is covered by a policy included as part of the current account package I have with LloydsTSB. When I bought the phone O2 tried to tell me it wouldn't cover an iPhone, but the nice Insurance man had no problem when I told him what phone it was. So yes I'm paying about £18 a month or so for the bank account, but the phone insurance (plus car breakdown cover) is all included.

I find it hilarious that folks here are paying obscene amounts for monthly contracts and are worrying about data allowances and Im going to be paying £10 a month and no contract and getting true unlimited 3g.
