I had to sit through 1000s of Italian domestic appliance quality audit meetings where they had compiled figures from around the world and Bosch were ALWAYS at the top.
Miele were a close second but only because not as many are bought because of the price and AEG were third (that was bad English).

Stoves were never on the list because they weren't big enough to compete against even though their quality is excellent.
I can quite confidently predict that now Indesit's products are made in Poland they will be way down the list.
About a month ago I heard that 95% of products end up on the floor in the Poland factory (on the floor means faulty, parts missing, quarantine).
Creda/Hotpoint used to accept a 5% 'on the floor' ratio but when the Italians came it rose to nearly 50% which became a nightmare.
I'd quarantine 1000 cookers for having a major problem (eg when turning on the single grill the double would come on and vice versa) and then suddenly they would all disappear to the public with the excuse "they will let us know when their kitchen burns down".
I once quarantined 3000 cookers where the grill had incremental settings wired wrong, so basically when you put it on the lowest setting the highest would be on instead which could cause a fire - they all went out.
The very worst were gas pipes under a hob that weren't passing our tests and were very dangerous.
The Italians let them all go through the door and one of my colleagues actually had tears in his eyes and made them sign a document that he didn't let them go.
In fact, we started to keep a book where we got the Italian boss to sign when he let dangerous cookers through the door.
