I think I fixed mine by turning the chat back on, in my google mail setting on my PC. Login to google mail on your computer, within the small text at the bottom an option should be turn chat on or off. Might be worth a look.

Anyone have problems with the facebook app? mine doesn't update even though its set to every hour and the widget doesn't update.

Try doing some SMW speed runs. Regularly get frame skipping/slowdown (depends on your settings) but it's pretty much perfect with a minor OC :)

Edit: I can't find the option in the clockwork recovery console to create a 512MB EXT partition. Any guides chaps?

You can't do it in clockwork recovery, you can do it in the ROM manager application itself though.

Personally though I use a card reader and a PC, using a Linux liveCD which comes with gParted, which is very easy and simple to use as it has a UI :)
 
Yeah, apparantely there's an irreversible change somewhere when you root, although I've not looked into it too much.

Edit: How can I tell if Defrost is using the EXT partition properly? Apparantely it doesn't need setting up if I do a clean install of defrost with an EXT partition on the sd card.

Just before, during and after sound there's white noise present. Although strangely it seems a bit quieter today. :confused: It does it regardless of the headphones I use.

It's not a major issue, but sometimes I can really notice it.
 
Does anyone have a problem with there ringtone changing back to a standard one on its own? Im using the Sparta 1.3 ROM btw.

I ignore my phone at times thinking its someone elses because of this :o

also, my ringtone doesn't go quieter when the phone has moved? I have checked this is on.

I'd say get OpenDesire 1.6 with LauncherPro if your not bothered about Sense!

I love the weather/clock on Sense and the HTC Calendar widget is there anyway of installing these from a apk? The Sense Roms are starting to annoy me now with all the bloatware I can't uninstall!

Running LeeDroid right now think i'll have OD on my end of the week
 
I'm often using my headphones which came with my desire, but unless i'm being a bit of a thicky, the handsfree part which picks up your voice is rather far down the wires. I tuck the wires down my top, so people can't hear me properly through a thick t-shirt.
Is there a better alternative or better set of headphones in general?

Do people rate the headphones that are supplied with the desire?

Thought Khaaan was on OD? Does DeFrost come with all that crap pre installed like Twitter and Facebook etc if so can you deinstall it?
 
I've tried DJ Droid and OD 1.6 this week and am going to stick with OD for a while now. DJ Droid is good, but I don't really use the Sense stuff much. Much prefer OD, seems a bit slicker and absolute minimum crap in the ROM. Only thing I didn't like was the grey notification bar but added this and now all is good.
