And once Moat made the threats against the public, imagine if he had made good on that threat and the police had NOT warned people - people would have complained that they weren't warned!
 
Doesnt really concern me but as a sideline...

Conservative MP Chris Heaton-Harris asked him to contact Facebook requesting the RIP Raoul Moat group page, which he described as carrying a "whole host of anti-police statements" be taken down.

As far as i can see this page has broken no laws. Ok its fair to say that not a lot of people will agree with the views expressed on that page but surely they have the right to say it.

The thing is as well...quite a lot of the views on the page really rip into the ex-girlfriend, putting a lot of blame on her for this whole mess. no smoke without fire?

This is what one person on his FB page says.

He got pushed to the edge by a lying scummy girlfriend who told him she was shagging a copper. She tried to wind him up and it worked quite well. He only done what every guy in jail says he would do if his partner cheated whilst he was inside. Difference is he wasnt all mouth. Stupid little ***** bet she feels stupid now.

Quite glad to hear Cameron say what he said, not that any letter at any official level will make any odds, but at least he has a bloody opinion on these things.
Rather than bland government which wouldn't speak out, and would organise an invesigation, and the a focus group and finally a committee before shelving any legislation and installing more cctv instead.

The facebook thing is a bit sick, but each to their own, people want to click and support, let them, it does add their name, so you will know who thinks differently to you. Good to see someone bother to speak out against it.
 
I'm pleased to say that nobody i know has "Liked" it, If they do they will be deleted. I really have no time at all for anti Police BS. Who would they call if they had a mad axe man in there back yard ? ******* !!!
 
Don't agree with Cammy, we can have sympathy for everyone involved.

After listening to the recordings it seems Moat was begging government agencies for help.

See facebook released a statement saying that they respect free speech and debate. Even though i do not agree with the people who support Moat, i respect free speech.

Yes we know the results and i agree that it was not justified. I'm not trying to excuse what he did.

Some people know how to push other people's buttons very very well especially when their target is not emotionally or psychologically stable.

I dont think its enough to just label him scum and then think that is enough, that that is the explanation for the behaviour, case closed. He's human like the rest of us, with hopes and fears etc somewhere along the line things spun out of control.


edit: Watching ch4 now where Moat was asking for psychiatric help 1 year ago. (he didnt get it)
 
Those Face Book fans of Raul Moat are Idiots shame on them.

I hope that the Police man whos was shot in the face pulls through ok I heard on the Radio that he was blinded such a tragic waste the man was only doing his bloody job.Also it said on the Radio how he wanted to return to service and feels no ill will towards Moat.

Its people like this that should be applauded not Psychotic nutters.
 
i feel sorry for all affected but after seeing the piece on him on the news, it was quite clear he was mentally unstable and crying out for help. he was asking people he thought could help to help him!

As for Moat he was actually quite well liked in his own Manor & was said to have been a Good bloke.
