The noise just doesn't make sense, why are the 460 cards so noisy, especially at idle?
My GTX 280 is loud at full load but at idle with reduced fan rpm it's very quiet, why aren't the GTX 460 cards quiet at idle, don't they reduce the clockspeeds and volts?

Hmm I think we are slowly starting to eliminate the optionsI'm sure we will find one which will be worth going for in terms of build quality and cooling.
I run my sonic Plat @ 40% fan limited on idle which is completely silent with a temp of 52c

Ordered two of them, currently only one installed, waiting for my sli bridge from the mail. also waiting from mail a scythe vga chip heatsink kit to install on those cards.
