Hello everyone! It's my first post here, and I'm picking my components for the first time. I've got a screenshot below of the components I've picked.

I do not need a PSU as I recently purchased a corsair tx 650W, running windows7 32b, don't need to buy a new HDD just yet either. The computer will be used mostly for gaming, and sometimes frapsing my ingame stuff and then posting some vids online :) I do not intend to overclock it either, at least not just yet as I've not done it before so would rather run everything at stock.

So I would be grateful if you could share your wisdom and let me know if I've picked decent components, and if there is anything else I should be picking. I picked the cable tidy kit as I'm sure it'll be a wiry mess, but I heard with the Antec1200 if I wanna make good use of the hidden side on the right panel I should also buy cable extensions?
I'm also not sure if the motherboard is good enough - I don't intend to crossfire really, so it seemed suitable but I'm sure you guys know better.

Have you considered and Intel route with an i5?

Any particular reason? I've been with a C2D E6550 for the last year and a half but before that I have always been with AMD.

AMD seems to yield pretty much the same results on benchmark tests, with lower power consumption and lower temperatures, and a cheaper price.

Then again I could have it all wrong, like I said I'm a first-timer :)

Thanks, but I definitely want to stick to the 5850 for gaming :) And not really bothered about SLI either. Any particular reason to pick OCZ Reaper over Corsair Dominator? And would you personally recommend the i5 750 over the 955BE for gaming?

The gtx 460 is looking good since its release, however the Palit Sonic Platinum version, which looks the best in my opinion, is out of stock and gone up in price :(

Also another overall thing, if I don't intend to overclock for a while, is it ok to keep stock cpu fan or do I need to get any extra cooling going?

And what about the cable extensions, should I be getting some for efficient cable hiding behind the right panel?

Okay, thanks for all the replies so far :D

What about the RAM? I've been recommended the OCZ reaper, any particular reason why over the corsair dominator?

lower timings.

the only potential issue is the height of the sticks can interfere with large coolers.

you can use the two memory slots furthest away from the cpu, to give more space.

but it all depends which cooler you would want, using the stock cooler for the time being will be fine.

It's cheaper for a start, similar performance I guess. Better timings on the OCZ too I think. Overall better performance / value.

The OCZ ram you've recommended, the descrption says it's oriented towards intel builds. I'm pretty sure I've seen OCZ ram that is made oriented towards AMD as well. Can they not be bought here? ;o
