being released on PSN and Live I have read somewhere but I guess they will have to pay, so you got to LOVE valve ain't ya !

AFAIK this is developed by the original Alien Swarm team that made it for UT. Valve bought them up and now release the game for free along with SDK which can only encourage the mod community. It's good to see they still indeed very much committed to the platform and this should shut up the whining contingent who were shouting, "sell outs!" at them after Portal 2 PS3 announcement.
