Did you pay £65 a week into it?
.
Yep, there's nothing more appealing to potential employers than periods of unemployment on your CV.Currently working 30 ish hours over 4 days and a day at college earns me £95 a week. It seems like a better idea to be on the dole.
Scots don't pay tuition fees (I think), but English folk who cross the border do have to pay. I could be wrong, but I really can't be bothered to Google. Check out the UCAS website, or Student Finance via Direct.gov.
When mates have been on the dole for whatever reason, the total usually covers rent food etc.
If not, that's more than I'm living off at the moment x 6![]()
I dont understand.
£65.45 a week is £284 a month. My rent alone in a shared house is £325, food is £20 a week (£87 a month) bringing the total to £412 a month then there is bills, travel and clothing on top of that
I dont really see how the law says you can live on £65.45 a week. Maybe "the law" should try living on £284 a month and see how they get on!
That's a lot of fishfingers!
Alternatively, give up smoking the weed with your mates, will free up some cash.
I heard in Scotland aslong as your doing a 4 year Degree you dont have to pay tuition costs?
Maybe im just dumb and my gf is even more of a retard.
...then was advised to use my savings. so, bye bye savings essentially.

its scandalous isnt it. your actually better off selling your house and renting one since they dont mind paying rent despite not paying mortgages :/i have a mortgage and all associated bills. i asked them at the job centre how i was to survive. they will pay the interest on my mortgage after 12 weeks of claiming (i think i may still be claiming after this time - i'm not having much luck on the job front) then was advised to use my savings. so, bye bye savings essentially. little peeved to say the least compared to some of the other people in the country who get a quite comfortable amount in benefits.
Good. There's no way you can expect the tax payer to fund you and expect to keep your savings.
