Is the Ares not enough?

Guys it was a joke about how I couldn't afford the card now and picking up one later when they are a lot cheaper, like if I went out and bought an Athlon XP now, so you don't have to start saying it's "stupid" and "irrelevant" and start going on about house prices, we weren't taking it that seriously! :P

stupid money for stupid people in my opinion, you can get 3 5870's for the same price which outperform it, u work it out,

Yeah, but you can get 2 ares or sapphire 5970 4gigs which outperforms that. Plus 3 5870's in trifire is going to cause major headaches with 3 cards squashed together unless watercooling. Plus who are you to call people stupid. For some people spending 1k on a gpu is the same as someone else buying a packet of fags. It's all relative.

In 10 years they'll probably be worth thousands because so few will be made and sold. :P

Yeah, that's the point I was trying to get at.
I am thoroughly interesting in seeing is Asus do have to/manage to develop a much improved and more efficient way of cooling a graphics card such as that.
Pushing the boundries of heatsink design would be nice.

£1000 isn't much to some folk, no trolling intended. Some people spent that on designers clothes so GPUs like this start to make some sense.

Remember there are nutters who spend tens of thousands on modding cars because it's what they're into

this, if you have the money and are really into that kind of stuff, you'll spend that money like nothing
