i dont think handbrake lets you use wmv as an input file , most encoders dont.

all the intel users seem to be avoiding the thread now anyway like easyrider who seems to know if he does post settings amd will come out on top

well, here's an idea. instead of goading him on like he seems to do so well him self, why dont you come up with a decent benchmark to get the ball rolling?

100% usage across all cores, a video that's readily available and the settings listed for everybody to use.

shouldnt be hard right?

Arknor, you're just as bad as easy though. They're CPU's, relax a little! :p

*EDIT*

Also what James said. Find a test yourself if he can't / won't / don't have time for it.

Right.

Thanks for all the******* behind my back :p

Pick the Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer – 720p Trailer download it here

http://downloads.dvdloc8.com/traile...ic_four_rise_of_the_silver_surfer-trailer.zip

Open up handbrake

Change the output File to MKV
Then in the video tab change the slider to constant quality

Leave everything else alone

Click start

Take a screen grab of the dos encode window at 50% finish the run then write your username in the black bit and post here.

This will show the average FPS encoding speed and the ETA for completion

I'm posting this from my laptop so will run the test when I get home

CQ RF20
No time to get a screenie even.

Im confused as to why thats so important. The same tools are being used and the same settings.
same goes for x264_Benchmark_HD

easyrider said its crap because it doesn't use 100% of the cpu...

it's abit backwards the say x264_Benchmark_HD is crap because it doesn't use 100% of the cpu... but Handbrake is fine even tho it doesn't use 100% of the cpu...
