It looks like both chips performance is pretty similar, with the i7 slightly better. Which is not bad considering the price difference.

dont think its really needed your 1055t at 3.6ghz is faster than ikralis i7 920 @ 3.6ghz

1090t @ 4ghz is probably going to continue the trend and be a few fps faster than a 930@ 4ghz

not bad for a cpu certain people on these forums always say dont buy if your doing any encoding.....

I ran this on on an i7 at $GHZ and a 1090T at 4GHZ
Results are close on first pass i7 wins by a head, win for the 1090T on the second pass.

Edit: Added an i5 at 4GHZ to the mix.
I5 did well on the first pass.

i7 is looking very good against a 6 core 1090T thats costs exactly the same as 930 and has 2 less cores.

i am not running at 3.6ghz, i've said earlier 3.5 (3.485 to be precise)

running a x64 windows 7 pro and run the test with the latest 32bit x264

Very hard to get 100% utilisation with video encoding, due to the nature of it you will always end up with processes having to wait for other parts to finish.
