best deal for HTC Desire ?

I rang up and said I wanted to cancel my simplicy deal as they cant get the iPhone - I then asked about deals for the Desire and they dropped the 285 bomb on me. They even made a note on my account to make sure I can get the deal anytime. Not sure If i can get it in store though

Just phoned o2 and they confirmed that to buy the handset 'full price' is only £285. They said it'd been that price for a month or so.

Tried to order, but my CC company blocked the payment. Must know I'm prone to buying too many things on impulse!

As far as I know you have to call 202 on your o2 mobile, then press 2, 2 and 2 to get through to retentions I think! Well thats what I did anyway and I ordered mine yesterday and I've been messing around with it all day!

Has anyone else placed an order on tmobile with beepy? I ordered 2 weeks ago and when i've asked them when they expect to deliver, I get a rather vague "upto 8 weeks".

Anyone else having this problem or know where has it in stock for £25 a month, 18 month contract with 300 mins, 300 txt and 1gb data?

Mobiles.co.uk/orange are now offering 9 months free line rental! With Quidco that drops the total price to ?325! (that's ?320 cheaper than o2s ?285 sim free phone + 24 months of simplicity :eek:

)

No wonder they're out of stock

Don't forget to cancel the insurance and 'Gadget Helpline' asap. Orange also set up the contract for itemised billing, mobiles.co.uk accept emailed billing so its worth canceling. Oh yeah and Quidco has validated my ?50 cashback

I'm in the last month of my O2 simplicity contract, and I was offered the Desire for £285 as well

does anybody know if these are unlocked phones? I'm thinking of buying it and then moving to T-Mobile on a much cheaper contract.

my experiences with the O2 deal...
I ordered a 12 month simplicity contract. Sim arrived today, called up O2 and said I'd heard they were selling the Desire; chap I spoke to said that I was entitled to 1 handset (I took this to mean that I could have any phone I wanted) at cost price during my contract, and the Desire would be £285.

Didn't have to threaten to leave or anything =)

All reports I've heard suggest the Desire from O2 is unlocked and even devoid of branding inside the box.

Just been told by buymobilephones that stock is not arriving now till august, so I was wondering if anyone know of better deals, as I am looking for more than 500 mb data and an 18 month contract, not to bothered about mins and texts. Thanks.

Go into the payments tab first and it will tell you if it will be paid at the end of the month - if not check what earnings level is set in the settings/payment settings tab. Adjust if needed and job done.

BTW I want one of these but I'm stuck until September.

Well, branding is easily fixed, and I think O2 can unlock it for you? I'm sure I read it was free somewhere, I might have been dreaming!

Phoned to get the Desire for £285 on o2 in contract they have no stock said phone wedensday

oh well will phone then. At least she did say I could grab that for £285 and still get any phone I want with my contract renewal end of august anyway aswell

I have my "threshold" at £50 (BACS) and i have currently got over £60 in my quidco account, its been like that for a week now since receiveing my mobile and cashback, how do i get the cashback in my account? does it take so many weeks or something? anyone received theres yet?
