Crucial M225 owners - Firmware Upgrade - 1916 (old news probably)

Hey all,

This is probably OLD news, but I just updated the firmware on my Crucial 64GB M225 and the performance (according to PCMark2005) is much improved (+10%).

Before = ~13,000
After = ~14,500

I was running 1517 and upgraded to 1916. No format needed and no data loss.

Windows 7 64bit.

Ta, had missed this entirely. Must admit, I'm still on my original firmware having never had a problem with it, though I might give this one a punt if they've finally ironed out all the issues they had with the other versions.

I'm on 1819 on my 128GB. Is there much of a performance boost from that to 1916?

Updated mine yesterday - quick and painless to do. Performance seems identical from just using my PC. You might see that 10% that is mentioned if you benchmark your drive, but I wouldn't expect to see anything different in real world usage.

The official firmware was released in February.
