Hi all,
Well I had my operation on the 24th of June a lot of waiting about i had to be at the hospital at 6:30am.
Lucky I was chosen right away there were 18 + people waiting for theatre
Had to put on the horrendous J-Cloth gown.
It was about 1pm when i went in the staff were nice, had to have the fluid (needle) in my hand but then the nurse did it wrong 1st time so had to be stabbed in another area of my hand. Then had the gas the last thing i remember was the lady putting the mask on me. And then another lady waking me up, She gave me morphine and paracetemol ... but I then came out with a major rash with the morphine (which i never had before when I had to use morphine with my dislocation at christmas) So then they had to ask the docs which tabs i could use (& which worked) I’m still on Tramadol & diclofenac.
1) Tendon over the knee has been moved to the centre (as mine was to the left of the shin which didn’t lock my knee in place that well.
2) My shin at the top near my knee has been cut away so my knee has been moved down to slot into its grove.
3) The hamstring that goes down the side to the right (some) has been cut to lasso my knee.
So now i hope that my knee no longer dislocates \o/
I can't walk up stairs yet I’ve been on crutches for the past 3 weeks and still another 3 to go! Then physio to get my leg going! And then I have to walk on 2 legs again!
