The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

First wwe event I've watched since the one after Mania and it seemed to me just more of the same

Summerslam aint looking anything great either so will probably give that a miss

Kane winning the belt was the only nice touch about the event tbh

What has Vince been smoking now .. ffs

Summerslam match said:
John Cena, Edge, John Morrison, R-Truth, The Great Khali, Chris Jericho and Bret Hart vs. Nexus (Wade Barrett, Darren Young, David Otunga, Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, Michael Tarver and Skip Sheffield)

That is such a waste of Edge and Y2J

My unimportant thoughts on MitB:

Mysterio was always going to win his match. Having an injured leg meant there was no way hhe was going to lose, he had to overcome all the odds in order to win
As mentioned, the MitB matches were the saving grace of the PPV.

As much as I'd like the Miz to do well... I have the sinking feeling that after the victory speech he gave, he's going to be the first ever MitB winner to not actually win their cashing in match.

Same, there was a lot of push as to the 100% success rate of MitB to cash in. Really hope he cashes in, but I wouldn't put my money on it.

Lol'ed at Swagger and Ray almost getting run over on Smackdown.
Maybe BP will try plugging the oil leak with those two now?

As for the whole Raw Vs Nexus thing, yay Jericho, its obvious that they're all fighting now, but by summerslam its going to be Nexus collapsing and everyone on Raw will be happy happy friends.

Thread needs more Goldberg....WWE NEEDS MORE GOLDBERG!!!!

Remember watching this match with my brother and we both went crazy. :D :D :D

I get the whole Goldberg hype, I really do... but it really bugs me how unsafe he is in the ring.

He hits people with little regard for their well being, and that spear on Little Guido shows that perfectly.

Goldberg was just the right guy, in the right place, at the right time. He had been in wrestling not even a year before the guys at WCW decided to give him the biggest push this industry has ever seen. He was only in wrestling for about 7 years in total, and after getting the megapush... there is very little left you can do with the guy in terms of booking because he's beaten damn near everyone in the industry (or so would WCW have you believe at the time).

Don't get me wrong, at the time I was super into it... Goldberg was huge, and I was huge on him too... but looking back on his matches, it's a wonder how he didn't seriously hurt more people.

Lesnar had the same sort of push though, and was also pretty physical

Goldberg, Lesnar, and at one point HHH, were all monster heels ... who would destroy everyone, which was why they were liked

Awesome. Just Awesome!! :D

I've been watching TNA every week for awhile now, it's still pretty good but I don't have high hopes for this Hardcore Justice PPV that they're doing.

http://www.hardcorejustice.com/

I'm not sure, it seems the ECW gang want one last shot to show us what hardcore really is.

Their previous "one last shot" was the 2005 One Night Stand, which was great. But since Vince has wheeled that PPV out again and brought "PG Extreme" to the name One Night Stand, it's basically been ruined.
