UK Kinect price

History kinda shows these things never work, with core gamers anyway.

Concept is great, nothing against it myself, but then iv'e an attic full of stuff that never went anywhere.

It comes out, people rave about it, even at 150 ill constantly kick myself everytime i don't pick one up, eventialy giving in:)

As far as the casual market though, it's hard to see people that allready have the wii and whatnot paying double the cost of wii fit.

Imho unless they pack it with a wii fit like app, there's simply no bite/buzz to pickup just a camera.

I won't buy this at launch, but I won't rule out getting it in the future. Dance Central will probably be awesome and the Your Shape fitness thing looks snazzy.

Ill buy a Wii at that price.

EDIT: There is a new 4Gb 360 Slim that will replace the "Arcade" version. Only difference is the 4Gb built in memory instead of HDD and its matte. Personally I think matte is a better look for it instead of the finger print/dust magnet glossy.

hmmm. How much is the 4gb model going to be?

I'll still be getting it as the family are invested in the idea now but it's too much.

Then again I did once pay £129.99 for GHIII....

Rock Band says hi.

Really thought that was £99, that's what i saw it as most places. And the full kit a success? hardly. The guitars on their own maybe a little.

Also with the full set that included a £40 game, not what looks like some shoddy knocked up demo.

Far too expensive tbh, if I had a 4 kids then I would tempt it for a combined crimbo pressy, but for me, pointless, I would use it once in a blue moon.

Does the 360 S "Arcade" still have a slot for a HDD in the same place as it is on the 360 S "Elite"? So that you could buy the same HDD that is in the Elite and stick it in at a later date?

Yes.

The 4GB is internal flash memory, and the console has a black matte finish. Otherwise it's exactly the same as the "whisper quiet" Xbox 360 250GB, and includes built in Wi-Fi, the smaller design, and a hard drive bay.

£99 with a game would have been better. then again, i've pre-ordered 2xMove, 1xNav and charge unit without a game, so the £129 for Kinect is not so bad. but i'm still yet to be convinced that it works as well as i need it to.

so if it reviews well, i'm in at that price.

Just looked up Move and it's

Starter pack - £49.99 (includes Camera and Controller) and the nunchuck is £24.99 seperately. sounds pretty reasonable compared to Kinect.

so for £5 more I can get

1 Eye-toy Camera, 2 Move controllers and 2 Move nunchucks. MS are really milking it.

So far no one interested at that price, will be good to see how many cave in when the shiney new toy is released and wii fit stupidity kicks in.
