Why is Racism Unacceptable but Homophobia is Acceptable?

You aren't born homosexual, it is a choice and as most choices in life, peoples choices get critisised.
I don't feel I chose, for the same reason I am sure you don't feel you chose your sexuality. I'm sure you could force your sexuality the other way, but it wouldn't be natural for you.

In answer to the OP, I would probably say that the main difference is time. It has been unacceptable to discriminate due to race for much longer and so more people find it wrong. Sexual orientation equality is much more recent and so it is going to take longer. Unfortunately homosexuality has some pretty powerful critics that use an awful lot of pressure to try and ensure the struggle for equal rights and treatment is as difficult as possible. Given time I would hope that someones sexual orientation is only important if you want to sleep with them, but I think it will be quite a while before that is the case.

No one watched the hilarious video I posted, yet we end up on willys-up-bottoms.

Brilliant.
