pet insurance (Cat)

The insurance on our cat will pay for something like £11k of treatment per condition. There's no way I could afford to save that sort of money in anything outside a glacial timescale.

I'll stick with the insurance.

But your happy enough with an excess on your car and house insurance?
My house is worth 300k, my car is worth 25k, in no way will the medical bills for our cat be anything like that.
And I have no excess on my car insurance as long as I repair the car at an official Ford dealer.

For a cat I find the risk of no insurance to be acceptable, not for my car and house.

Fair enough, but not all of us have the same priorities and financial situations.

It's a CAT. They aren't people they are CATS. There are thousands of them available for free everywhere.

An expensive rare breed you spent thousands of pounds on to show how sophisticated and rich you are, insurance is a good idea. Generic old sad sack house cat you got for free from your aunt's next door neighbor...

There's just something fundamentally unhinged about a grown person having that kind of emotional connection to a CAT. I can't be alone in thinking this, I'm sure if you went to 90% of places in the world and told someone you spend roughly $50 USD a month on cat insurance they would think you were a total nutcase.

What's next, gold fish insurance?

If you dont have a proper argument then simply don't post. If you have never been emotional attached to something/someone then you need to get out your hole and start living life
