The *Official* Eve Online Thread

I kill people in my own corp for sport.

We're the Space Marine Force, if you're in our acadamy and don't listen to instructions you die.

I popped a cadet once because he turned up to a training session I was running in a cruiser and I told them all to be in frigates. It just shows that in 0.0 space you don't get chances, you obey commands in fleet, or you die, easy as :D

They soon learn, this is why we pride ourselves on a ~90% efficiancy rating on our KB, we're kinda like PL, noobs and idiots don't get in...

Yeah, we killed a guy who ****ed us all off on a nullsec op. Constant whining about everything, eventually he decided to log off, but for some reason did it at a gate we were holding on! As soon as he dropped fleet I pointed him, and pretty much the whole fleet opened fire as well :D

Away for a long time, considering re-subbing...

So I checked the map to see what's going on... are IT Alliance basically BoB? Didn't they get steamrollered by Goons etc?

Leaving people to die? or killmail-whoring? :)

I've never killed one of my own corp though, like some people in here I could mention! :p

That day you lost 2 ships to friendly fire was funny. We replaced the ships though!
Still can't believe I managed to kill your inty with a harbinger's lasers!

Basically....

- BOB we're infiltrated by a goon spy and lost Delve
- Goonswarm dropped sov in Scalding Pass and ran at Delve full force and took it over
- Gentlemens Club, Cow, and Pr1mary took up residence in scalding pass
- BOB reformed as IT alliance
- Goonswarm split into fragments because of an internal leadership struggle and much internal trolling
- Goonswarm forgot to pay the Sov bill during this
- IT alliance then took back Delve
- The goons went and sheltered in the north under a few new alliances
1. Test Alliance Please Ignore
2. Goonwaffe
3. Band of Brothers (they recycled the name)
4. Goonswarm Federation
Together totalling about 4400 toons...
- The whole of the south then decided to attack the north

GC, COW, Pr1mary, Atlas, Solar Fleet, -A-, IT alliance etc versus the whole of the northan coilition and goons.

Sothern Coilition has their ass handed to them on a silver platter and ran home.

NC has then been staging a retaliation, culminating in all of the scalding pass trio being broken down and kicked out and now cursed alliance is taking over the majority of the region.

Goons have no home atm but are roumoured to want scalding pass... Its just a dangerous place for them to sit when Atlas and -A- are either side and want to kick their ass and GC are sitting in lowsec nearby trying to goonhunt as well...

UPDATE: After a little digging looks like some of the goons have taken up residence in the Deklein region in the north which was probably given to them by the NC...

Many do that, on either their 2nd/3rd or more accounts.

Of all the -10's iv'e known in the last 7 years, only 1 of actualy had one account.

Shame realy, as the market in low sec would become alive, alive'o if those that choose to work in that enviroment were forced live and market shop within it.

One thing that'd make the utopia ccp claim they have more real:)

So true, but both me and my alt were -10 though (and a real -10.000000000, not unpure -9.99999472327 lol), Tiller and my smartbombing alt Doctor BBQ.. made logistics so hard. I think you have to kill approx 250 ships and crush their pods in a row without killing a single NPC to get to true -10, but used to kill / pod approx 60-70 people a day :D

I sold Doc BBQ for isk, and Tiller got banned after I lent him to some fool :(

Doc BBQ had a 1.2bill isk disco rokh (faction smarties) that used to 1 volley haulers and cruisers as they dropped out of warp, anything smaller didn't stand a chance, Tiller used to fly officer fitted CNR / Rattlesnakes into combat (and lose them)

I wasn't rich in the game, just good at killing haulers... biggest hauler kill was 70bill isk as far as I remember when camping gate with Ginger Magician, and it all went pop in the kill mail, gutted!.

Was CEO of Kleptomaniacs, biggest pirate corp in eve..... I roleplayed a total *&^%, but loved it :(, wish I could get my toons back

Best achievement in 4 odd years of playing was solo killing a freighter in a 3 slot tanked raven (before the HP changes) while under sentry fire... he exploded just after hull started to burn :D, a real buzz!

Never used a killboard but some people looged their losses here...

Added to above, it's not just pirates that do that.. alliances have entire "alt" alliances in high sec. So whilst you might be fighting and camping an entire region for an alliance, they'll be happily churning out isk and new ships in high sec with their alt alliance.

Wow, sounds like its all gone to rubbish for GC since I've been away on holiday :(

Scalding Pass completely lost? I've been away for a month or so with no contact with my corp etc.

Wait, what? I must have missed that bit :S Where our campaign failed? KB stats say otherwise. And besides that it was for fun and not to take space or anything so after the fun was had we left of our own accord.

Was thinking about trying Eve again, how is it now?

I last played about a year ago. I got passed all the training and so on but then got stuck and did not know what to do, so left.

Hahaha Fluke you use to fly with ginger :D

I love the old days.

Things have changed in lowsec these days.

There is no fun in being part of a 10+ man gang there is no real tactics and you just dont get the same good feeling when you fight outnumbered and win.

Yah know I love actualy fighting hard and balls to wall as it were for my kills.

When there isnt much to kill in the nearby thats when yah pick a gate set up a ninjah camp and chill out/or roam a long pipe.

I have not played much in last 3 months or so though been really busy but the last 4 years where amazing times.

Hahaha Fluke you use to fly with ginger :D

As much as everyone dissed Ginger he was a great guy to play with, though he did throw his toys out of the pram on vent quite a lot. He got scammed out of a nyx though, he paid 8-10bill and agreed to meet at mothership in his pod, he was them smartbombed and money was kept, he got abit upset, threatened to kill someone and was permabanned :D

Just after carriers were introduced we used to use them as support ships in low sec camps (rancer), and just have a cyno ship ready to get out in emergencys.

The carrier used to keep the lachesis tackle ship alive and not much got past us....

When warp to zero came out our smartbomb ships came out also, and you could get rich quite quick as everyone was taking goodies to jita, some nice bpo's to be had from shuttles. the hate mail was staggering, when some guy loses his T2 BPO and gets insta podded at same time... :)

I used to pirate solo a lot, and camp on lightly tanked cruise raven... before the HP changes is was doable, even took on two BS under sentry fire once and killed them both. you could make on average about 500mill isk for a few hours camping.

My favorite anti hauler ship solo was the drake, fitted with 4 T2 warp disrupts and a 1 slot tank, then sensor enhancing rigs, it was weak, but you could stop transports and kill them before they could get away. Often two of us would fly the same setup so with 8 points on a low sec gate we could stop anything pretty much. (you would choose your targets carefully). You can also setup a perma passive tank drake that can tank sentrys for hours, and just blast every T1 hauler coming past.

a lot of newer players freak when they are attacked and never even got a shot off...

I setup a pirate pos when pos were released, it was used to just scam people into warping to me, could get several good kills a night... also used to station camp busy places with dread, you'd be surprised how many newer bs pilots would engage when they see flashing red and then get their ravens 1 volleyed lol

I guess there are no good pirate corps left, the days of being in mafia, beer and kebabs, veto etc etc are gone.

btw, who is your toon in eve ?

I agree with all of what youve said about pvp now,

I miss those days my toon right now the one I still play with is,

"Van steiza" I keep him in with friends in a corp in the NC.

Dont laugh lmao.

I use to do a lot of solo pvp people recognise you and slowly dont wish to engage you as much or people will start to want to fly with you as you become more n more recognised in an area.

My area was Egghelende and that local region.

The people Id fly with were tactical everyone would know what there doing without me having to direct them once i give them a target or who ever the fc was in our small gangs were everyone knew how to proceed.

Pvp is all about situational awareness, need to know what distance to keep your enemy and keep a safe disengaging distance expecialy when fighting outnumbered.

These days players dont get to really experiance the kind of pvp that we had back in the day. They may do but its more limited as there is not much of it.

Im a -10 and never go to highsec fluke lmao Ive tried going back or just keeping my sec so im able to hang around but i just cant i just end up finding ways to scam/kill people.

My favourite fights have lasted for 30 40 mins when its just me and 1 or 2 other friends and ere fighting about 6 people and they just keep bringing more and more people and in the end we still manage to hold the field!!!! Draw your targets apart single them out and kill them!

Made all my isk from it Ransoms/ship ejections etc etc you know the deal you roled with the oldies ya know how it goes :).

Yep - lots of infighting and poor fc, along with repeated ganking from Goonswarm have caused many to leave the old CoW alliance. Most of them are in Molden Heath constellation now, or have formed a newer, less commitment pvp alliance in Stacmon. If you are looking for a fun piwate corp, contact Sons of 0din ingame myself or Rico Minalli. Our emphasis is on old fashion pvp fun rather than hulkaggeddon or sov blobs.
