I got a text this morning

How?

I can only see last months bill.

Under the unbilled usage tab. Cant screen shot as only browsing on my se c510 atm. Lol. Managed to hit over 600 mb last few months. On opera mini on this thing somehow lol. Doesnt bode well for smart phone users with the new hard caps if I can exceed them on a normal phone just browsing sites

I think that is for receiving the text otherwise it would have said before the 'stop texts' part.

Any way going to ring up VF tomorrow and see how much it will cost to buy out the rest of my contract and i need to hunt for a place to buy my new phone from.

Unless anyone knows a good deal on t-mobile. Need unlimited texts and at least 300 mins. Preferably 18 months. :)

You're never charged for texts from your provider. When this text service was brought in, they said you could opt out. You haven't been charged for exceeding 500mb.

Yeah my bad, just re-read the announcement.

They also say that they would notify you as you got close to the 500mb limit.

500 MB is still a fair chunk, you could try using or leeching off some wireless if it's that bad. Then again, it's a fair usage policy, so you wont have your head bitten off when you go over it once or twice :)

lol o2 now do the same. exactly the same. 500mb . 1gb if your on an iphone plan

Only recently though and for new customers :)

If you're an existing older customer like me, you can get away with 5GB + usage in a month, well I did when I was tethering at my Uni flat ;) (My phone was equivalent to a dongle at 3/1 speeds!)

Just remembered...

got another text at 5:19 this morning!! Woke me up, wasn't happy at all. :(

To be honest, T-Mobile are the clear cut best network when it comes to data.

3GB should be the minimum. It's stupid they are selling so many smartphones, most of their main features are internet based but on Vodafone etc you get shafted for using it too much.

Nice.

Dont you put your phone on silent at night?

Nope in case I need to be contacted.

Indeed, defiantly going to be changing to them as soon as I get my deposit from my tenancy back.

Just got a new one...

To let you know you're nearly at the end of your monthly data allowance of 500MB. If you need to use additional data there will be a charge of £5 inc VAT per 500MB, how ever we won't start charging until the 1st of October.

According to netcounter I haven't even hit 400MB this month yet.
