Ah ok will try it through SEUS,any noticeable improvements? Soz bout the call, work keeping me busy as a mother ****er! Will try drop you a bell before Poland tomorrow!

Question, what do people prefer out of LauncherPro and ADW.Launcher? Which runs smoothest on the X10?

I think LauncherPro is better now but I quite ADW. ADW runs fine on mine, looks great and there are some slick themes floating about.

Mine says it has the latest firmware :( - lies! Lol.

EDIT - Updated (had to do it through SEUS). Haven't noticed any difference other than the phone activated/unlocked really quickly when I turned it on after the update.

I am going to send mine for repair soon (battery saga). However, the email/form says not to send the battery back - but I think it is the battery causing the problem. Could it be the phone (basically charge holds well if I turn everything off, as soon as I start using 3G, averages 1% drop in charge for every minute of use). What shall I do?

EDIT 2 - Unlocking mechanism seems a lot smoother now.

I don't like the ADW launcher because it removes the slide up drawer that is present in the normal home screen. And if you forget it isn't there and try and drag the drawer out it removes the button from the bottom of the screen because it thinks you wanted to delete it and you have to reset the theme to defaults to get it back.

^You are right. The menu for the icons is not as good. Scrolling sideways can be a little problematic.

Isn't LP only for 2.1 and upwards?

It doesn't actually remove it. After you drag up the menu button, you can store shortcuts along the bottom bar ala launcherpro. If you want you can then drag this bar back down to get the original menu button.

if you don't like this, you can turn it off in settings. Everything within ADW.Launcher is customisable with hundreds of settings. You're complaining about a feature which can be turned off.

Again, the Galaxy S sideways scrolling implementation can be turned off. It's all in the settings (specifically drawer settings).

Everything is customisable. For example, I have a standard vertically scrolling drawer with a translucent background so I basically get my wallpaper with a slight tint. I've also changed the number of shortcuts shown in the drawer so I get 5x5 icons. The same can be done for the homescreens.

All animations, I've customised to get the exact delays and responsiveness I feel comfortable with. Since the X10 is quite an advanced phone, I've turned a few more animations on and sped them up to give the illusion of speed.

Not available on OTA, you have to do it through SEUS (may need to update SEUS software in the process). I wonder why SE release some updates on OTA and other on SEUS?

I was complaining about a feature which can be turned off. I just found the feature you were speaking about.

Still isn't very good though, I found that on the menu when I attempt to scroll through my apps it doesn't scroll but just selects the app nearest to my thumb/finger and runs it.

I guess that is a feature I can turn off too?

Nah, I will just uninstall it :)

Horses for courses :)

I think you'll find the sensitivity where you select things by accident also occurs in the default launcher. I have used ADW.Launcher on other phones, and the "problem" disappears. I would guess launcherpro would have the same sensitivity issue unless you get used to the X10 touchscreen.
