Aside from not indicating, beeping horns at 3am and driving like the motorway scene from The Matrix, what is wrong with taxi drivers ?

well on reflection your probably pretty much spot on tbf,
comparing your average taxi drivers driving to the scene out the matrix did have me chuckling though, you forgot a few though, such as sticking hazard lights on gives you the ability to stop anywhere etc etc

The best bus driver I ever met was a Polish guy who - and I kid you not - shook my hand then my wife's hand as we boarded the bus to go from the West End of Glasgow to the Airport. Yeah, I don't know either.
Nice chap though
e : taxi drivers are also life savers in my book. My favourite one was the guy who got me safely home from the Elephant & Castle area back to Kingston after I'd got thoroughly bladdered, separated from my mates and girlfriend and decided to go for a wander in to the more ... exciting ... parts of London. This kid of maybe 12 or 13 asked me if I was ok (I was not - I thought I was back in Scotland and was talking about being able to see my house from the road) and suggested that I should follow him to a place he knew, they'd be able to help me. If I'd been sober I would have run like ****. I was not, however, so this seemed like a great idea. He led me to this boarded up shack and knocked on the door and these guys came out, big guys, looked me up and down (I'd ****** myself by this point, literally not figuratively) and demanded 60 quid for the trip. I said yes and gave the closest one my wallet as proof of having the money. Again, I don't even know. The guy gave me it back without looking at it and helped me to his taxi.
That kid and those drivers saved me a whole heap of trouble that night.

I meant it in a nice way of course Foxtrot.
A couple of lads I know drive the taxis and they are good lads. One of them boxed at super-heavy so I wouldn't say the above to his face.

I love taxi drivers man. Last time I took a non London cab the driver was kind enough to drive into another car at say ... oh I don't know .... 70 miles per hour? Later on in the whole circus event he still was with mind enough to try and charge me. I paid him with a smile knowing full well I will get that money back, roughly a thousand fold. I did.
They're so friendly because they're all stoners....

Nobody I know smokes dope.
It's not as big a deal here because it is legal.
the only reason other countries have so many pot smokers is because it is not allowed and people tend to want to do what they are not allowed to.
If other governments were smarter they would legalize it and charge tax on it.

Go on then, who do you work for? Since Barra Taxis merged with one of the big ones, and Network Cabs managed to buy up every smaller firm it's impossible to get a constantly good private hire.
Had one (he was a black cab) yesterday who got lost going from Duke St to Bath St. I was on the phone so didn't realize.
Though the evening one was nice, laughing at my jokes and what not.
I like the taxi that has the 'CAB1T' plates up here, must be pricey.
I only had euros on me so I've got him a bottle of whisky. Just need to find him now
Easy. Contact the bus company tell them what service and time/day etc and they will be able to forward anything to that specific Driver.
It's always nice to contact the company to praise Drivers, as most people only do so to complain.
