froyo for desire starts this weekend

OK, so just want to check I'm understanding correctly how I'm going to get this OTA update on my branded desire;

1. Make a goldcard using 'goldcardtool_0.0.5'.
2. Install RUU_Bravo_HTC_Europe_1.15.405.3_Radio_32.30.00.28U _4.05.00.11_release_121865.exe onto the phone.
3. Go into the phone settings and check for OTA updates.

Is that all? Will my phone now behave as if it were purchased unbranded? Will I need to mess with the goldcard everytime a new OTA update appears???

The Camera not working now after updating for me :(

EDIT:The camera has now just started working :)

I think mines improved a bit my battery has been sitting on 50% for a good hour 1/2 now and ive been messing with chrome to phone and all sorts. But im not sure if this is switch pro not updating though.

When I did a hard reset I noticed there was an option to go into bootloader so it is there. When the ROM fails I get left with the hard reset screen but no options just the bulid information and some skateboarding Androids.

Can anyone help?

Looking at that link I dare not try rooting.. I have never got debugging mode to work on my desire :O

I was gonna have a go too :/
 
Anyone finding the browser a bit more sluggish than on 2.1. Been browsing for a while now and it just doesnt feel the same.

Another thing I've now noticed when swyping this out is the swype keyboard doesn't format itself properly when the phone is horizontal so the space key is now below the return one.I'm rather sure it wasn't like this before
