For the first time in my life the car I'll be selling when I change will actually be worth quite a bit.
Before I've always bought my new car and then sold my old car afterwards as they've only been worth £1k-£2k so it's never been an issue.
Now however I've been offered £6k (roughly) as a trade in on my car, but looking at Autotrader the market seems to dictate I could possibly get quite a bit more selling privately - possibly £7k.
Thing is I cannot really do without my car for more than a day or two due to work.
Plus I'm likely to be buying my next car from a private seller due to dealers not really offering what I'm after.
What do people do in these situations. Trading my car in at a dealer and paying more to get a dealer car could easily cost me an extra £2k-£3k on a £15k car... which seems stupid.
I can't easily borrow £6k-£7k for a few weeks while I sell my current car so what should I do
