Ferrari 458 a bit ugly?

I'm looking forward to what they can do with the convertible, if they even try and do one. As good as it is I think I would have the California over it for now, given the choice.

I think the people in here who are calling it ugly need their eyes checking..i suggest popping down to specsavers, they do some great deals at the moment 2 for the price of 1;):p

I quite like it actually, havent seen any other than in mags and in pics on the internet but it does look very nice.

Wow lots of replies, thanks (I thought it would turn into a "are you stupid or something thread"). personally I would have this

I like it, I think it looks a lot better in the more natural real life photos then it does in the promo shoots, which doesn't show off it's lines and makes it look a bit odd. I haven't seen one in the flesh yet, but I'm sure it will look fantastic.

It's very nice, although I think it would benefit from having a vent on the side like 430. It would just break it up a little bit.

Liking the Gallardo though. Gorgeous.

Are they making a convertible?

The 430 and the models before always had an odd roll because they were the sharpest, sportiest Ferrari model. But because they were also offered as convertibles they were also the most popular posse mobile in the entire range. I'm wondering if they're trying to split these rolls.

Looks wise the California is easier, but for me it's the 458. I've seen neither car in the flesh but one I think would bowl you over, but after the fun has subsided, you'd stop discovering new things. The other however would be a long and rewarding journey of discovery.

[*]Angle dependant, it has some amazing flowing lines, but the styling loses its purity front and back

Spot on. the second picture, to my eyes, the rear 2/3rds look awkward in comparison to the first pic where it looks fantastic. They really have to be seen in the flesh to really appreciate them. I've never seen a picture of a F430 that really conveys just how stunning they are in the metal.

I think it's a stonkingly good looking car, just the right design for this era I think. I suspect it'll go down as one of the best in that department, not to mention the performance, which is unprecedented I'd say. If I could afford it, I'd have one in an instant.

Just looking at some of your pictures david25, they're awesome. I've seen quite a few of those cars before at shows, including the countach (which is just so cool). I've never seen an F50 driving though, that must've been special, there's not many around. I had the pleasure of seeing an F40 recently though.
