Can't decide which of these 3 phones would be best to purchase

I have had the Desire a nice phone and the Galaxy S which is sadly plagued by issues atm with lag, lots about it on xda forums with fixes but i still found it lagged at times which annoyed me, i could be doing things then it just stops for 3 seconds then catches up and it annoys me, my phone is fine and i have tried many roms but all do the same.

Sister had her Iphone 4 delivered here and said i can mess with it and its surprised me, been playing for a day now and its really good the resolution of the screen is awe inspiring can't believe how crisp everything looks on it, i always ignored it and didn't think it would make any difference but it is so much crisper than on the galaxy s's screen and i think i would take it over the led screen atm, everything is so much sharper.

The camera takes far better pictures also and has a flash which is great and the HD videos is better, the touch focus feature when recording is brilliant, i can't believe i am saying these things :P, for me atm i would say the I4 is a really good phone only thing that would put me off a bit is using Itunes but its thumbs up from me atm for it, i got it till Sunday so will be using it all the time.

I actually had two iPhone 4's and they both had the same issues with signal (returned one due to a screen fault), it seems more potent than on any of my other phones. The Desire/N900 for example may drop a bar or two if you 'death grip' it (in a fairly average signal area) but never to the extent the iPhone does.

That's because covering the antenna is not the same as bridging the gap between exposed antennae.

You do not need to grip an iPhone, a simple touch with a little finger de-tunes it.

I know that.

The reason I said about it in such a manner was because when I said it in the Apple forum, I had people telling me it was EXACTLY the same on Blackberries, HTC's and so on.

Clueless people who love Apple in other words.

Yes.

Oh and sarge, I think the Android browser (the one on the Desire at least) is better than the iPhone browser by a country mile, Apple have dropped the ball there.

Androids browsing method is defiantly the future but current hardware can't really handle it yet. There's too much stutter outside basic text and all those extra overheads help kill the battery.
Safari is a nice compromise, although it'll probably include many of Androids features in the future.

I've never noticed any stutter when browsing, even on my old Hero

After reading through the comments I was wondering if the battery life on the Desire is as bad as a certain arena site suggest (4hrs) and is the Galaxy S really double that?

No, its not, if you actually look through the settings and turn stuff off like 'mobile internet always on' and keep brightness at 40% ish, blue tooth etc off unless you need it, which is what I do, you can get about 1day 18hours out of it (which is what I get :P ).
