For some things scientific studies are needed and im glad scientific studies have been done on this topic but I think socially this construct is not yet acceptable and as a result the child will suffer, when the day comes that it is acceptable then fair enough.

So it's ok for 2 gay men to adopt a son then? They might even do a better job of it, being able to relate to being a man and manly things like shaving, but also being more loving/compassionate, covering the mother figure side of things.

Single parents if seperated then the father is sometimes there in the background if he's not then thats hard for him. Tough luck, he will survive as will the child adopted by homos. The only difference is the single parent child is there because of a problem, the homo adopted child is not..

Well in the future I hope a society is in place where everyone is accepted equally regardless of there sexual preference, if a society exists where sexual preference is not really a major thing then it would be more acceptable.

As then the norms as we have known it throughout human history would have changed.

A) You don't decide which gender you are attracted to.
B) Because their are more kids in need of loving adoptive parents than there are loving adoptive parents available.

If you think that by not letting gay couples adopt, their gayness will eventually die out, then you have my pity.

If it's not a conscious choice, then you have no control over it, and thus it is not actually a choice.

You cannot control who or what you are attracted to, in the same way you cannot control what flavours you like, it is what it is.
