Lesson learnt, dont break up fights!

Surprised in this day and age people still break up fights. If they want to duke it out, i leave them to it. I stand back, moving just far enough away so as not to come to harms way, but still being able to see the impact of the blows, and watch in amusement. If i'm drinking or have a snack to hand, this is a bonus.

I wouldn't normally... just simply isn't worth it. Think the bouncers thought they were doing me a favour kicking me out for breaking it up but it wasn't me they should have been worried about.

was about 100+ people outside and didnt know where they were at the time, plus none of us have been in a fight in our lives! all 25/26 so it was bound to happen at some point just unfortunatly me.

Thanks for replys, i feel well down about the whole thing. Police said they would ring me and let me know whats happening but i dont know if i could go through the whole process of court and things (im guessing thats what would happen?). But if i dont then they get away scott free and they shouldnt be able to!

Don't let them get away with it if you can... but don't feel down about it - they won't catch you off guard next time (I hope).

EDIT: Only been head-butted once but the guy broke his own nose in the process, I was laughing so hard he smacked my head against a brickwall cutting it open. Fight ended there as I was laughing too much and he was mopping up blood.

Really sorry to hear that OP.
That's really bad. Are you going to go to the polic dept to identify the guys who got arrested?

I have been today for them to take pictures of my face, i asked if they knew what was happening and he said some one would ring me. There was confusion as to if they arressted the right person (i thought he had white shirt, they arrested green shirted man) but im sure i would recognise him again if i had to point him out which i told them.

I just spoke to my mum and she said that living in a small town, i could end up making more trouble for myself if they find out who i am and where i live. This is what im worried about, its why so many people get away with it but what are you supposed todo?

I have a hero of a friend who always try's to break up fights. A high majoirty of the time he gets clocked, either by the lads its between, or between the rest of us for having to bail his ass out!

You got Zidan'd. You did the righ thing. Plus you got a cool-ish story to tell the ladies if you swing it the right way. Just say you're a pacifist.

Such mindsets really infuriate me. This is a large part of why such vicious attacks are allowed to happen in this country so often, because of this idiotic selfish mentality.

- no offense intended

You'll have to be on your toes mate, but if they arrested the right guys those people might get time or com serve, so you won't see them around. Just watch yourself, keep a phone handy. Maybe get the number of local community police just in case.

This happened to me recently:

Obviously your situation is a lot worse than mine. So you'll have to be careful I'm afraid.

How did the pictures go Viral?

I was starting to laugh untill i realised that some one actually saved that picture on their computer, im SURE there was better ones to save ;)

Need to vent so what better place than here :P

Was on a good night out with my two mates dancing like normal when fight broke out right behind me pushing and shooving me with what they were doing so i turned around and thought i would try to seperate them (now now this was BAD idea!), bouncers came and kicked them both out.

I left about 5 minutes later to be confronted by one of the lads and his mate asking what i was doing, tryed to explain i was just trying to stop a fight and they headbutted me :(

6 stitches in lip and a tiny shiner on my eye, a first for everything i suppose! Feel well stupid but police where very helpfull in taking down statements from me and witnesses. arrested 2 males but seemed to be confusion to if they got the right lads, Part of me just wants to forget the whole thing and the other side of me wants to do whatever i can to teech them a lesson.

Off to the station now to get pictures taken on me, oh the fun :(

You're not the first and sadly not the last, I have been caught out before with flying fists splitting up fights in the past. I respect you for trying to prevent a fight though just a shame the idiot who assaulted you didn't grasp that fact.

I was headbutted once. It sucks! They come out of no where :(
Thats why I generally keep my chin closer to my chest in any confrontation, It happened to me once and the gentleman in question caught his nose on my forehead.:D
