The main event of Hardcore Justice has changed, it's now RVD vs Sabu.

– Sabu will be wrestling Rob Van Dam tonight at HardCORE Justice, replacing the injured Jerry Lynn. It is unknown whether Van Dam’s TNA World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line.

– Talent confirmed for tonight’s HardCORE Justice pay-per-view include Team 3D, The Sandman, Axl Rotten, Rhino, Balls Mahoney, C.W. Anderson, Little Guido, Tony Mamaluke, Sal E. Graziano, Brother Runt (a/k/a Spike Dudley), 2 Cold Scorpio, Al Snow, Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger. Justin Credible, New Jack, Joel Gertner, ring announcer Stephen DeAngelis, Tracy Smothers and Danny Doring will also be on hand for the event.

– Only one match has been announced for HardCORE Justice that being Tommy Dreamer vs. Raven with Mick Foley as the special guest referee. Seven more matches are scheduled to take place at the event.

I watched half of it live on the internet, pretty dire IMO. Going to watch the rest of it now! :(

One thing thats getting on my nerves is this blue lighting on the ring, everything else is in the dark. ¬_¬

Tommy wanted it like that to highlight the action more than the crowd. Just like the old ECW days.

I watched it all last night. I thought it was alright, it was a decent send off for a lot of those guys. The main reason they did it is because of what WWE did to the ECW brand after One Night Stand 2005 when they relaunched the company.

The card missed a lot of key people if I'm honest, but so many of them are now in WWE or were booked elsewhere.

The problem is that a lot of the real ECW legends have either died or left the business, or are now contracted with WWE or had disagreements with certain TNA staff.

Joey Styles needed to be there, but couldn't (WWE).
Mike Awesome (dead)
Perry Saturn (left the business)
John Kronus (dead)
Jerry Lynn (injured)
Masato Tanaka (working in Japan)
Shane Douglas (legit heat with Ric Flair, declined)
Taz (retired, now commentating)
911 (left the business)
Eddie Guerrero (dead)
Dean Melenko (WWE)
Chris Benoit (dead)
Chris Candido (dead)
Bam Bam Bigelow (dead)
Pitbull #2 (dead)
Lance Storm (left the business)
Yoshihiro Tajiri (working in Japan)
Mikey Whipwreck (left the business, declined)
Terry Funk (still working, but cannot do to many shows... declined because of his health)

Paul Heyman showing up would have blown the roof off the building.

What they had was good, it was a good show last night and a decent send off.

The main draws and big name stars, or people that would have put on a 5* match have either passed on or retired unfortunately.

Wasn't the best show, but was pretty fun and decent enough

Good to see some of the old ECW people as well that you don't get to see every day

That's about the worst to date, not even 30

Just shows the effect of the **** these wrestlers put in their body :(

Anyone getting summerslam tomorrow night?

Tempted, but i've not seen any WWE since WM, and before that, since the RR.

I've been reading snippets about this whole "Nexus" thing, but i've no idea what it actually is or what it's about, so I might give it a miss.

Pity, last year's SS was half decent. If I could trust WWE to put on a good show I would be more tempted to part with the money.

Unbelievable. :/
Found a list here : http://prowrestling.about.com/od/whatsrealwhatsfake/a/wrestlersdeaths.htm
It's shocking reading through it, the names on there that I recognise. Didn't even know some of them had died such as The Wall and Chris Kanyon?!

The first time time this story was covered by the national media was in 2003 on HBO's Real Sports with Bryant Gumble. That segment featured Vince McMahon mocking the interviewer and slapping the notes from his hands. In addition, the only wrestler to speak up for the wrestlers, Roddy Piper, was fired after the piece aired.

Why does that not surprise me?

The working conditions they work under are terrible really (unless you're a Cena, HHH, Undertaker level guy), they're all classed as freelance or self employed workers I believe so that WWE doesn't have to pay them pensions or any form of healthcare and they have no union so have little say in anything the WWE wants them to do really.

Stuff like the wellness program only came in because WWE was looking so bad in the media after Eddie plus so many others died the WWE didn't give a toss what the wrestlers were taking as long as they were big and kept flogging themselves all round the globe.

Oh come on. At least get some facts straight before you try and go off on one.

WWE introduced a brief wellness program after McMahon went on trial, but it almost bankrupted the company. It was a private company at the time funded by McMahon and it couldn't sustain the costs incurred to test people.

After becoming a PLC in 1999, they had enough money to sustain a drug testing policy.

Now to be fair, yes this did only come about in 2006 after Eddie's death. It was partially a reaction to the media, but more-so to look after the talent that was there.

Back in the 1980's and very early 90's WWF was known as a "Big Guy" company. Still to this day, they have a "Big Guy" policy and will not employ people that are "big enough" but their roster is at it's smallest in terms of weight and bulk that it's ever been right now.

The wellness program WWE has, has actually saved lives, it's diagnosed people with enlarged hearts and they have fired/suspended workers for recreational and "prescription" drug use.

To say that Vince, Linda and others do not care about their employees is utterly moronic.

Their working conditions are poor, that's for sure. But it's the industry as a whole. Whether you work for WWE, NOAH, All Japan, TNA, RoH or any indy promotion in the world you have the same conditions. It's notibly only the WWE that has a wellness policy that is comparable to legitimate traditional sports like the NFL, football, baseball etc.
