another "invasion" angle that WWE have won... if they had any clue, they would have had Nexus go over on them =/ Super Cena wins

Some obviously predictable elements in this PPV but I have to say, this was quite good, and way better than this year's Wrestlemania which I thought was absolutely dire. Just a shame the ending was rushed. I mean FFS they could at least made it a bit more believable instead of the usual "Cena gets beaten and then suddenly rises up like Superman to win the entire thing".
 
superman cena was seen form a mile off.

on the other hand, gonna love this miz/danielson feud!

WWE and WHC matches were both good,a nd very surprising to see taker being layed out, must be the first time when he has come back, only to be made look weak. glad they made kane look strong. hopefully a lengthy fued between them and rey can have the time off he needs.

i was hoping for a nexus win to continue the storyline till survivor series, but im sure they know how to make it last. shame that they booked a super cena end, but thats not a fault of cena, so i wont blame him, i blame mcmahon/creative.

decent PPV, but in recent memory one of the worst summer slams IMO.

and really, you didnt like WM26 phat? why not?

To be honest it wasn't just Wrestlemania but the majority of PPV's this year. I will admit that I haven't been watching WWE for like 5 years, though occasionally I have been Youtubing certain matches every now and then which I heard were very good. I've only really caught up again at the beginning of this year, but I just feel like these days the WWE product overall lacks "something", which I guess is the whole "PG Era" to blame for it.
 
This years WM was terrible.

The entire card was overbooked, they gave matches that would have been 5*'s only 5-8 minutes.

The ends for most matches were rushed. The only good matches were Taker/HBK, Mysterio vs Punk and Edge vs Jericho.

The Edge/Jericho finish came out of nowhere, almost like they got told they're running over on time.

Mysterio and Punk got 6 minutes!! They could have stolen the show!

Why bother having the opening tag match, I mean it lasted 3 minutes?
The diva match lasted about 3-4 minutes as well.

The card was great, but they could have dropped a few matches and lengthened out others and it would have been much better.

Don't get me started on Vince vs Bret either.

Yep it was this to be honest.

Most of the matches I find were quite short and tend to last as long as the crappy weekly RAW or Smackdown shows, which I barely even watch because they are filled with adverts, re-runned hyped up trailers and too much talking and such.
 
Not too bad, but the the ending sucked ... and sucked hard.

It was COMPLETELY the wrong wrong way to go about it.
If they REALLY wanted a team WWE (surely team RAW?) win then they should have got it to a 2v1 of Cena + Danielson vs Wade, have Miz run in and take Cena out and then have Danielson beat Wade.

The SuperCena ending completely spoilt the show.



And why is Cena now wearing stupid purple, it looks worse than his stupid orange


And speaking of Cena, why did he have to open RAW? He sucks on the mic most of the time

I don't hate Cena, I liked heel Cena.

I hate the current Super Cena, who hasn't been pinned clean on RAW in about 5-6 months now (last loss was to HHH iirc). I also dont think he is that good on the mic, certainly not as good as Austin, Rock, HHH, HBK, Y2J or even Miz.
He should NOT be the main promo opener of the show, especially while a face (he can do better heel mic work).

he is the face of WWE, he moves the most merchandise by far and is a houehold name now.

if its not him opening raw, who would you prefer? i thought his promos was pretty funny, esp considering its PG. when he was a heel i agree his promos were much better, but its a different era now. he has charisma, and can hold a crowd, and personally i think he works the stick perfectly for his gimmick. really he is trying the hardest, and is being held back by things out of his circumstances.

you do realise most over faces had the superman run aswell? hell take goldberg! his entire gimmick was about squashing someone.

there also was a time where HHH had a monster heal run where he wasnt beaten in a PPV in AGES, and if he was he would win it back a month later. he buried people left and right, but it worked for the gimmick, and it works for cena. at one point im sure he will turn the way randy did. look back a year randy is doing the same things he did then, the same heelish persona, and moves, yet the fans got bored of him being a heel and turned him face. and now i would say he rivals cena in terms of pops, constantly. at one point, even the women would get bored, and will change cena into a heel, without him needing to do anything.
 
Cena wont turn heel until the kids turn on him, and the young kids are not going to turn on him as he's Super Cena. Heel HHH cheated, think of all the DX, Chyna, Evolution run-ins ...
Winning clean is different from winning by cheating, and Cena almost always wins clean ... usually against all odds.

Cena is the modern day Hogan, the difference is that during the Hogan years events were rarer, now we have Cena on every Monday winning clean and then also at PPVs.

The other reason Cena is staying face is due to merch sales, even though Hogan (and NWO) proved that being heel does not affect merch sales.

I disagree with Super Cena always winning clean against all odds, and I disagree with the whole PG thing which really limits the mic work. I also hate how rarely chairs are now used by WWE (doesn't have to be headshots, but chair use in general).

As for Cena being the face of WWE, he can still be the face, but he should not do the main mic work on the opening (or period) as a face as it is just boring. Cena is at his best on the mic when he is not solo-ing, but rather interacting (until he starts doing his shouting thing).
Rock never got THIS stale compared to Cena.
 
Can't say that I'm a fan of the new tag team titles!

not been in here for a while, not watched wwe for abot 5 weeks so had 5 raws/5SD and 2 ppvs to watch, have done it over 3 days :p

glad taker is back and even better then didnt have him take out kane so easily. im liking kane being champ, they should have him be unstoppable like old kane.

it would have been great if then had nexus win at summerslam but it was pretty obvious cena would win before the match even started.
 
yh i still think that nexus should have won, it does make them look vunerable, smething the nwo didn't get still they lost to (sid vicious?) but after that they became unstopable again. If booked right this loss won't mean a thing.

IMO time to remask kane. Its the perfect opportunity.
