F1 Manager Game

Just in my second season. Won the constructors in the first but really struggling in second :( Done about 5 races and got 3 points :(

Currently getting about 7m in and about 4m profit per race (spending on facilities at the minute). Worried that next season will get no 4/5 star sponsors as this season was so ppor

Written this season off and running on skeletal crew, to build up money, ploughing everything in to commercial research and second company.

Alrready increased profit from 6mill to 11mill per race and at the end of the season I will have enough to buy a tyre manufacturer. I hope that brings in lot's of money.

I think I'm going to scrap this season. 5 races in with 7 points :( yer that's what I'm going to do sack everyone unnecessary and start to make some cash.

After reading a few replys I'm doing rather well it seems, even though I scrapped the season (before even the first race) but still managing 3rd in championship so far.

Right so because I've done more than 6 races, everyone wants compensation for getting the boot. So I've reset ... clean slate. So far, my very first season has not gone well at all :p

if your new i would advice you of this:

In the first 6 races you can, hire and SACK anyone without any penalty. Aftwards you will have to pay compensation. Each contract lasts a season, the closer to the end of the season the cheaper the compensation. OFC on the last race day compensation is 0.

So i would advice you to use the first 6 days VERY CAREFULLY.. if you get what i mean... ;) :) ;) wink wink wink.

If you are doing TERRIBLE, ie. not even finishing top 10. Then maybe it might be worth saving money and investing for future. And theres no rule that you have to have 2 cars per race. you COULD put forward just one driver to save money.

GL to the new people :) its a fantastic game think i started 3 months ago. Login every day with my cup of coffee to check my results and tinker around :)

/edit when testing, it dont matter what circuit you pick, you gain same stats... but it will give you an indication of race pace.

I'm making a lot of profit, even though my team isn't that great right now. Since i was making so much money, i opted to buy a chassis for the last 6 races, so i get good results to impress some sponsors. The upside to this is i can put 100% of research on next years chassis too, so aim to have a top end car next year that i don't have to pay almost 1mill for.

Good plan or flawed?

hmm well could be good overlag. I think once you get 100 Kudos you get access to 5 star sponsors... which make a HUGE DIFFERENCE. Check it out in manual first. Basically its a race to get 5 star sponsors then save up and do what u thinks best with the money.

The ideal way is to win the league with the least money spent. Obvious i know but yeah. Also you dont need 100% reliability to be reliable what is safe thats up to you to find, i've given you guys some nice starter tips.

If you like the game it would be good to join a club, so you can talk with like minded people get a few tips. Although i have to say since this server is new and a lot of changes have happened people might not be open to sharing killer information yet.

Hmm im not sure if we have any space but im in TRS - The Racing Society. We're currently 'lobbying' the maker to increase the club limit from 25 players to 50 players. But its a political thing lol.

Anyways keep us posted how you doing :) i like helping new players with simple tips, as part of the fun is learning and tweaking yourself.

 that guy in the lead of our league is spending all his cash on engines and chassis ... don't worry about catching him, he wont be able to keep up next season due to lack of cash :) Just keep saving for the next season.

yeh i saw that just bought a better engine tho hopefully i get some sponsors down after this race :D

its very hard on this server to make money with the cost of staff having gone up so much, man i used to be able to max out my design department with 250 staff for less that 500k!

so i have just saved up some money, shall i now start upgrading my facilities or should i wait a bit and save up more money for the next season? :)

If you do upgrade then don't worry about spending £2 million to upgrade to a 2 star HQ because you sell your current HQ for 90% cash back. So that £2 million HQ is only £1.1 million. Same goes for the rest of the facilities. So go for it.
