Im fed up with flying BA to Mumbai, crappy old 777's with out of date entertainment system and cack food.. They wont put the new 777-300 o this route till next year.

I have 2 options

Jet Airways or Kingfisher

Any recommendations on based on Business Class o these airlines

Kingfisher is good but emirates have some really good deals on business class tickets at the moment.

I was quoted 2.5k for
LON to AMD,
Sydney to Dubai
Dubai to London
Considering economy is 1000 it’s not bad at all.

The 777 is one of the most modern planes flown by any airline, how can you call them crappy and old?

Yeah they are crappy and old and looking very worn out inside. A fair amount of the BA 777 fleet is nearly 11 years old now and they look it inside.

The 777-300's 7 of them have been purchased to help replace this aging fleet.

The stretch business class seat is less than three years old and the cabins were refreshed when the new product was fitted.

It was just to give you an idea as AMD is only around 200 miles from Mumbai.

So as I said in my first post in my opinion Kingfisher is better then Jet however emirates is better then both of them.

FYI Lon - Bom - Lon is only around 1.5k with emirates

I know the seats are that old, but you need to travel in them. Its awful.

I thought they were pretty comfortable and the IFE although basic only misses the ipod integration really. The IFE is due to be replaced with the Thales system over the next few years.

I'm sorry TW Fox I really don't understand what your getting at.

Dandle, the thing that annoys me most at a regular business traveller about the IFE especially going west is that i want to be able to pause the movie, sleep, eat or maybe walk around then come back to it, not have to wait 2 hours for the film to start again.

You are trying really hard to come across as some sort of business class travelling airline connoisseur for whom the standard offered in BA Business Class (A standard far above that 90% of this forum has ever experienced) simply isn't good enough for.

This would have worked really well had you not been posting on an overclocking forum saying that BA is 'crappy'. You've now failed to pull off the whole 'LOOK AT ME, I AM A WEALTHY BUSINESSMAN' thing.

Ask on Flyertalk, but they wont give you any coolpoints for travelling Business.

I've flown business class on jet airways to delhi and can't fault the service at all. Good food, good movie selection on a swivel 15" screen :D and an average tv show selection. Nice whiskey's and drinks available too.

Was watching a movie on there and the airhostess came up and asked me if I wanted popcorn with the movie :D In another instance I asked for some iced tea. They didn't have any, but she offered to make me some (though she wanted to give me hot tea cooled down :p (without flavourings etc). I didn't take her up on in it and instead asked for a whiskey :p Though I was very happy with the fact she did at least try.

+ the seats allow you to almost lie down completely and have a nice (albeit tiny) massage function.

Can't compare it to kingfisher as I haven't flown with them, but Jet haven't given me any reason to around looking for other options. I would usually pick Jet where I can because they have better arrival and departure times than BA and Air India.
