Not showing off, but I think it may be the same with D2D.
which is a bit of a joke really because then I'll go in the local and buy a couple of pints at £3.60 each thus negating any saving I made anyway.

Didn't somebody on here buy a game from D2D only for the key to be revoked by steam as they aren't an authorised reseller?
I was in the off license yesterday and took 2*4 packs to the counter.
The bloke got really frustrated with me and said 'We have a 3 for 2 offer, why have you only bought 2 to the counter?' He was totally bewildered and assumed it was to make him get the third, free, 4-pack.
I had a think about that, and TBH it's been years since I've bothered reading the price of things or even reading any offers - I simply can't be bothered. I just have always bought what I want when I go shopping. Who cares if something is £2.40 or £2.90. Why even bother reading the price? I certainly couldn't be bothered to walk anywhere else to buy it, and I want it.

£14.99 for BFBC2 from HMV, still on Steam for £29.99.....
£29.99 on Steam, £34.99 from FindAddBuy. Different prices in different shops, you can't expect retailers to constantly match each other.

You must have no testicles if you didn't detect a free beer sign.
Even illiterate men can read those.

I agree but Steam need to wisen up as 50% price difference is more than the £5 difference you have shown above.
Digital distribution is a dead horse? You need to go into HMV and see if you can find a PC section anymore. I know people who use it solely, mostly abroad where boxed copies are unavailable. Steam is damn handy although sometimes the prices are stupid.

My store used to have two stands deadicated to pc games... now its half a stand and half of them are games like "Master chess" and "Majong"
