Verified by Visa

I always forget it, then go to reset it, read where it says 'must include one upper case letter' and then know exactly what password I've just reset.

I've finally got the hang of it after about five password resets :/

I read somewhere (might have been here) that on many sites, if you don't type anything in, the page times out and the transaction goes through anyway. I know that shops don't need you to enter your PIN. They can authorise it by signature but I don't think they get any fraud protection.

Never tried it though.

Generally don't have any problems with it on my cards.

Aside from...

- Wouldn't let me make a transaction from abroad, even though it was a UK card, at a UK shop. I assume maybe something to do with being on a foreign IP.

- I believe I had a problem with the OCUK shop funnily enough, verified visa just wouldn't work. Was sometime ago though.

Using it by myself = Easy.

Using it with my mum = Hell.

My mum uses a random password for everything and never remembers them. Then she has to find the password and that is usually on a different computer. :(

Just leave the page as it is and after a couple of minutes the transaction goes through anyway. I've done this a number of times at John Lewis.

I've never set it up and so just click cancel whenever verified by visa verification pops up on any online order, it always goes through fine. (Despite it throwing a fit and telling me I won't be able to proceed without it :p)

Screwed up by Visa, more like. This NEVER works for me. Forgot your password? Sure, just enter your card details and date of birth. And that never works either. Sod em.

Am I alone in this? I imagine so. I await tonnes of "works perfectly for me" glib responses.

Screwed up by your card issuer, not VISA. If they're annoying you move somewhere else.

Tbh Vertified by visa is usless imo,a few months back i had £700 stolen from my account, they didnt need my password they simply clicked on "forgot password" and they answered a few security questions and reset the password.

Luckily when the password was reset i was sat at my pc so i knew the password had been changed, so i was right on the phone to the bank to get my cards cancelled and report fraud

Obviously i have no confidence in the system anymore if the password can be reset so easily

Im very careful aswell when security is concerned with my Debit/Credit cards and to this day have no idea how this happened.

The only problems I had was when I was using this service for the first time as it wouldn't work because the verification system was using outdated records from my bank (somehow barclays mucked things up and changed my DOB over 14 years ago and even though I got it changed back the verification system was using those outdated records and not the current records)
