No offence intended, but what exactly is the point of these meets? Driving around in cars from one place to another seems, well, a little juvenile to me. Or does more go on than meets the eye?

I can sort of see that it'd be fun to go for a spin in Gibbo's Evo, but that's about it really.

Well we all have something to eat and drink and just generally socialise, it's mostly a social gathering with cars, some driving and generally mooching about different vehicles really and talking about common interests, which is mostly cars in this case but also other things too. It's just a large pub lunch meet with a lot of automotive interest I guess

It's a social gathering. We... chat, have food, and drinks at various locations. The only driving, unless somebody specifically wants a go in your car, is between the various food/drink locations.

I thought that was an entirely human thing to do. It beats watching TV.
