Best Windscreen Wipers

Bought some rubbish ones what would you recommend, sure I asked this before, but can't find it .

Funnily enough, out of the few pairs I've had to buy, Halfords own have worked out best for me.

Do what they're supposed to, and do it well. And they last. Works out cheapest for my car too

I've never noticed the difference between Bosch and Halfords personally.

I got some Valeo ones the other day off http://www.wiperblades.co.uk, they seem good, but then all wipers do when they're fresh out of the box

I had them on my Leon as they were the OEM ones and they were decent, lasted well under a year though..

i fitted some halfords ones on the gfs fester a few years back

worked nicely but the joins in the arms started to go rusty. im not a stickler for cosmetics but that bugged me. went back to bosch after that

Made from silicone which is meant to leave a film that repels water.

Hated my Halfords ones. They lasted 2 weeks before I binned them.

Replaced with Bosch ones and couldn't be happier

Costco sell Goodyear ones for £7 each now if anyone has a membership.

Valeo flat wiper blades http://wiperblades.co.uk/, not cheap but they lasted me really well.

Bosch are utter rubbish.

PIAA are the best I have used, but are an utter waste of money considering the ridiculous cost.

Champion are the best for the money IME.

They're cheap, yes. Perhaps too cheap. I'll let you know how they get on when they arrive, but TBH my opinion may be skewed by the fact the wipers I currently have are worse than dangling bits of coat hanger with hamsters sellotaped onto them in front of the windscreen.

Last weeks autocar had a windscreen wiper test in it. Compared around 12 iirc.

Bosch aerotwin came out a definite winner.

Bosch aerotwin (multi?) came second. I think it was just the same but with a multi adapter rather than being car specific.

Then third was the halfords own brand which they said was pretty much identical to the Valeo and produced the same results.

I've had Valeo, Bosch (from Halfords), Halfords own brand ones and BMW supplied Bosch ones (same as Bosch...) and cheapo 'GoodDay' ones bought on eBay

They all last and wipe just as long and good as each other but because the cheap £10 ones off eBay are so cheap I can buy 2 pairs.

Good point. But do the cheapo ones squeal like stuck pigs? That's my main concern after ordering those cheapo ones a few posts above. Hopefully they don't!
