Catalyst 10.8 is scheduled for 25th or 26th August

Maybe I've been lucky with all the ATI drivers this year, but are many of the problems people have been having here on Crossfire setups and dual-GPU cards?

Have been tempted to go X-fire but there still appear to be problems.

Yep, mostly to do with crossfire, some issues are also caused by game engines as SLI users have simalar issues but this is not always the case, oftern nvidia users get updated profiles right away via official or beta drivers and we are left waiting a month for a fix which may or may not come.

Myself and countless other people have been sending ATI driver feedback for months regarding Bezel Management restrictions over mixed monitors that run the same resolution, but report different physical sizes in the EDID. I even managed to scout out an ATI customer services email address, emailed them about my problem explaining how the problem has been ignored. I was assured that we were not being 'ignored'. That was around 2 months ago. I've lost all hope of getting BM running on my eyefinity rig. I can't be arsed to change my monitors so i'll just make do. Normally i'd be saying "Bugger it, ATI next time" but to be honest,i've been there with both of them. They are both as bad as eachother.

Their driver team works months in advance of what is actually released, I'm sure they have looked into it and it will feature in some Cats near the end of the year.

Just did a quick test using the call of pripyat benchmark.

10.8 Beta

I am supprised to see that the 10.8's have raised my minimum framerates because all the drivers since the 10.5's have been **** for me.

The average of the tests above is a 5.1fps increase in minimum framerates. Not bad! I presume they're 10.8 beta aswell and not 10.8? Maybe even a little more when the full version comes out...

Personally I only take minimum into considoration. :P 60fps minimum is my target in everything.

Its a coincidence. Youll probably find it happens occassionaly now its been set off once ;) Sometimes if left long enough, it will sort it self out.

i just turned on my pc 30min's ago and this is what i got.

it's since i installed 10.8 beta. hope the full version isn't like this.

I get exactly the same thing now and again (and I on 10.5), I just restart and hope its not my 5850's memory dying. Glad to know its only a window bug!
Had it on 10.4s too.

Have there been any solid releases since 10.4? I've heard nothing but horror stories so still haven't upgraded - although until I hit a game that has issues, I probably won't anyway!
