Finance haters gonna hate :-)

Ok, so I say the i10 makes me smile when around town in it ?, that makes me a troll ?

You need to step away from your badge snobbery... A car makes you no better than anyone else, it's just a tin box, not a status symbol.

What do you drive just out of interest that makes you have this 'great car sense' ?
I don't drive, I'm too young. Point is your a 39 year old and you think buying this car was a great idea. If I wanted to buy a city car for my wife it would have been a 3-4k fiesta/clio ect.
Badge Snobbery, WTF you on about?
So you are now saying a Ferrari isn't a status symbol?

People already said their piece with all of this, agree with some parts, dont agree with others.

One thing though. Cars really are a status symbol to an awful lot of people, you wouldnt see a multinational CEO rocking up to a business meeting in a vauxhall nova because its not the image they wish to present.

Ahhh a thread of fail wouldn't be complete without the "THIS IS WHY PEOPLE HATE MOTORS" post. Well done. :D
:D

Are you a Eunuch?
Quoted because this proves my point, you can only like cars on the OcUK Approved list, if you don't then your not a proper driver apparently.

Secondly, it's BOUGHT, brought is the past tense for taking something from somewhere to somewhere else.
Oh lol, really... thanks for the grammar lesson, just what I needed :D

So you dont even drive after all that ?, and have never even purchased a car... you must be very wise.

I assumed you owned some car that made you abit of a expert on sourcing the correct one for the job....

edit: whats with all the motors in your siggy, I assumed they were yours ?

There is no 'approved' list, what a load of rubbish.

It's true that some cars suffer a worse rep here than in some other places, but I would say that is perhaps justifiably so, the Vauxhall Corsa, Vectra etc. Which people seem to buy by the tends of thousands, yet they are bettered in most ways by most of the other cars in their respective classes. The Insignia is much better though.

Wiser than you ;).
I could get you a list of cars now as everyone else has already done that would do the job better for less.

That's simply not true at all.

Hardly anyone on here would argue that say, an Alfa Romeo 3.0 V6 Spider is a good buy, but you couldn't deny that for the owner it has a purpose that only that car could fill, and therefore it made a good buy in that situation.

The difference here is that an Alfa has style, grace, great noise, lovely interior, and you KNOW you want one, you know it doesn't make financial sense, but you forgo that for the experience. You simply CANNOT say that about a hyundai i10.

 You may notice around this forum that people have cars in their sigs they don't own, Ferrari's Lamborghini's ect
What is wrong with that?

because you don't even own a car and never have, you preach to me about being 'in the know' buying a city car...

youth of today huh :D
